What is going on with all this YouTube drama?

I doubt that 99% of the Internet care about that. The drama sphere is for the most part a closed environment.

I mean, I guess thats true. I probably have a very small sample of the whole internet as most of the YouTubers I enjoy are apart of this kind of drama. Truly Unfortunate.
 
The worst part about this drama is the s****y 'news' channels popping up - I'm not referencing Drama Alert but copies of it.
 
People eat that stuff up. It's an excellent way to get views and subs ...BUT, personally, I don't enjoy or watch any of it
 
Who cares about drama? Seriously, there are plenty of clean channels, that do creative things. At the end of the day, if it's in demand it will be watched, it makes good money for a lot of people (obviously has negative consequences). YouTube is a business for a lot of people, I think people need to take their rose tinted glasses off and stop imagining that youtube is just a fun place to make videos as a hobby. It's as gritty as the real world, and I love it :)
 
I have no issue with 'drama' channels as long as they are properly investigating the issues. It's no different than TMZ bagging on celebrities.
 
Drama is more popular than content.
I don't know, I feel like I've always enjoyed YouTube drama but I liked it a lot more when it was much more niche and not a part of mainstream YouTube media. It just makes the entire atmosphere of the place hostile.

There's always drama because there's this dude named Keemstar who takes everything that happens on YouTube and turns it into drama on DramaAlert. I'll admit, it's funny, but the dude himself is just so extra lol.
And now, Keemstar, the guy who runs DramaAlert to "report the drama", is in drama himself because some people are coming out against him and saying he's an awful human and Keemstar is like actually I'm a nice guy. No one really knows what's going on anymore but I think it's amusing for all parties except for the ones involved.
