What helped you at the beginning?

When I first started making videos, for the first like 4 months I didn't gain any new subscribers (my existing ones were just my friends). Later on when I started feeling more pressure to work harder for my subscribers, I didn't have any trouble remembering why I made videos: because I love it. So I would say really go deep down and be honest with yourself about your channel and plan accordingly :)

well I LOVE MY SUBJECT....i literally have a list of 500 videos to do....I make videos like crazy and have fun when I make them....

I think what can be frustrating for some at first is the learning curve....you have to learn about Youtube, Video editing, not looking in the wrong place while filming...any mistake in the beginning can take you countless hours just to fix or learn. THAT CAN Be A DRAG. My advice...is to just relax and realize if you keep hacking at the learning part...it will get easier!!

But also if you dont like talking about your subject..or the actual filming part isn't the funnest thing you have ever done...then you are probably wasting your time.

What helped me the most was learning about SEO and what it can do for your channel, also finding the best time to upload and when. These helped me get to where I am now which is over 1,000 subscribers and verified on YouTube :)

Passion, which is often confused with stubbornness in my case.

I've been dedicated to learning useless information for as long as I can remember, and I wanted to channel (ohohohoho) that into videos, as it was a medium I'd never properly explored before.

I built up a support network and I'm getting there, slowly but surely! I'm super grateful for the people who've been kind enough to watch my stuff because they're never obligated to, but if you find people who will support you from Day 1, those are people worth keeping.
