What helped you at the beginning?

I know that beginnings are tough. What do you think it helped you at that moment to keep creating videos?

Having an idea about the central idea behind my content helped me to be more structured. Setting a fix upload schedule made me create more videos. Noting down video ideas wherever I get them helped me to always have fresh content.

At the beginning, it helped that I was focused on what specifically I wanted to do with my channel. As time progressed, what helped me stay in the game was this forum and people's feedback. I think in general, as long as you stay on that mental focus of where you're wanting to go with your channel, it can help you to better succeed with what it is you're wanting to do.

Definitely a fact that it was more of just a hobby. I mean, it still sort of is now, but I'm more focused on the inner workings of YouTube, creating better content, marketing, etc. Positive feedback was always nice too, haha.
