What could ruin a channel's success?

supermac18 dropped off the face of youtube a few years ago hahaha. that's the only one I can think of, but I'm sure there's more.

Yeah he did. I know he had a fight with Jenn around the time it happened. I think he only made one video last year which seemed very odd since he was doing well for himself

One way might be to attack other innocent channels that are more popular. Let's say this one guy makes a video about how much he hates this one YouTuber, say nigahiga. Any and all of nigahiga's subscribers would unsubscribe from the guy who was being a total jerk that were previously the one guy's subs, too.

So you would probably have to be a total jerk to someone innocent to lose everything most likely. Haven't heard much about this, but I wasn't looking for it either, so this is just what I think would make sense.

I remember the whole Onision controversy with his girlfriend at the time Sky (I think). They split and she talked s**t and then she lost a lot of subs.
