I use my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S7, the video quality from both cameras is pretty good. But the real stand out is the audio quality, It's brilliant, and cancels out background noise pretty well and automatically too!

If you don't want to invest a lot of money and still get amazing image quality, buy a used Nikon D5100 and an external mic.
