Videos Not Performing View Wise.

YTtalk Mad
I put a lot of effort into my videos and in terms of video and sound quality they're pretty good. I talk fairly clear, don't umm and ahh too much and I believe the videos are fairly interesting, minus a couple of duff ones.

I had on the 16th - 18th a bunch of people unsub for absolutely no reason. I lost about 10 people and I only have 110 subs. The channel has been up just 2 months by the way.

Just wondering 3 things. 1. is 110 subs in just 2 months good? 2. Why would people unsub for what seemed like no reason? 3. My videos don't seem to be getting as many views as last month, the last 3 have under 100, any ideas why?

110 subs in 2 months is great. Many people take six months to reach that, if not longer. I know of a channel plugging almost daily videos since 2007 and she's only on 1,600 (so that's only an average of 266 subs every 12 months).

YouTube probably deleted any inactive or fake/dead accounts. Every now and then I will have 3-4 people unsub in the space of 12 hours, and find that's why. I wouldn't worry, your channel is doing fine :)

Also views are up and down. Try putting out something new or unexpected to bring the views back in. For e.g. if all you ever did was Fifa or Black Ops then people would eventually get bored of it because they are the types of games where after a short while, it's all rinse and repeat.

Simple answer to all 3 questions. It's Call of Duty. Easily found elsewhere on Youtube. You're trying to fill a niche that has been covered for nearly 5 years now. You're going to struggle to grow by playing only CoD unless you're very unique

110 subs in 2 months is fantastic! i've been at the youtube game for a while and only have 100! anyway, as frankie said, the unsubs were probably dead accounts (i ran into that problem earlier this month). but yeah, you should be fine! just keep up the quality work!

You need to be determined in this world and if you don't know something research on it so you can get a better understanding on whatever you need information on i'm going through the same thing right now and im trying to stay determined and not to become discouraged whatsoever. Please keep in mind unfortunately we have some off people in this world and they don't mind interfering with your success!!!

Youtube has subtracted mobile, private, unlisted views from the lifetime view count if you didn't know that and also if you deleted a video the views will be eliminated as well so say for instance it's a quite popular one I wouldn't remove it but if it's a video that needs to be improved make a remake and also hd content gets more reconition on youtube trust me 720p video format.

Wow I didn't know all that, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the replies, this community seems to be quite helpful :)

To comment on some things. I think I am concentrating on the numbers too much, yeah. I find myself not so much discouraged but fearful that my channel will die if it doesn't get x amount of views etc. I also find myself noting to myself in comparison to the comparable big youtubers on how many x subs I should have by x point in time in order to be at their size in the same time frame.

I did hear about the views views being reduced but I figured that was just the total channels, guess not. I make sure all my videos are 720p as I know that's certainly a must, yeah.

I guess I just need to keep plugging away and do what I'm doing. I often do videos that after watching back don't think are good enough and don't upload so I do have some quality control and don't just upload anything.

Infact I've just had another unsub, I guess I just find it disheartening.

Velocity, don't give up man. Try to remember why you started making videos and get some energy back into it. I think interest in videos will have it's highs and lows, you just need to stay consistent in what you do and keep improving the quality of your content.

If you let this slow you down it'll be hard to pick it back up later.
