Very disappointed with Pewdiepie and his comments

What's actually going on:
Pewdiepie makes a video about parents exploiting their kids for money.
Parents that exploit their kids for money frown heavily upon Pewdiepie for risking their business.

Any other reasoning is literally apologetic bs.

Maybe those parents will save some money until the kids grow up.
When I look it up exploiting means: make full use of and derive benefit from a resource. Use a situation or person in a unfair or selfish way. Benefit unfairly from the work of someone typically by overworking or underpaying them.

If people think kids playing with toys is overworking, then I wish my parents sign me up as a kid! Is it that hard for people to believe that kids can also have fun making videos like adults and benefit greatly because of it? He never have to worry about money in the future, he's in a much safer neighborhood, he's going to one of the best school districts in the states...again I'm sure maybe you're right that some parents are, it's just not in this case. Like I said I can defend myself all day, but I know that once people make up their mind...there's no changing it[DOUBLEPOST=1483893865,1483888792][/DOUBLEPOST]
I may not like pewdiepie, but I can understand his point of view. The numbers don't add up. All those views, and so little likes as well as comments? The parents having control over the content, and the kid is just kinda there. Until labor laws catch up to child based YouTube channels, I do not feel comfortable supporting them.
I understand his concerns but don't forget he doesn't have kids himself. He doesn't know my family personally and never spoke to us, not even once. Views to comments to like ratios had been proven many times by the fact that little 2-5 year old kids watch the channels. They don't know how to read, write , or even understand what thumbs up even means. Just watch any three year old watch YouTube for an hr and see how many times they bother to comment or like a video. The kids app doesn't even have the option to like or comments. Go to any similar kids channel that 3 year old watch and you will see similar ratio of likes/commments/views. My son always have a say in what video we do or toys to play with. Many toys are picked because I thought he would enjoy it. There are many videos where I let him choice the toys to feature even thou I know it won't get much views. People don't see what goes behind the video and assume that it's bad. We don't expect people to support what we do in any way. I just wish people stop assuming the worst in everything without knowing all the facts.

I don't care what other people say about you, but RTR makes Asians proud. Asians are the invisible and being discriminated in Hollywood. Your son broke the records in the entertainment world and gave Asian people exposure to the entertainment world. In Hollywood, white actors are still playing the Asian characters . Is this racist and discriminatory? Look up Vox:
Hollywood’s best Asian roles still go to white people . YTTALK does not allow me to have a link here.

RTR, you make Asian people proud and your son is a very good son. He helped your family out. Be proud. We support you. Your son defines the status quote.

The last thing I want is more attention. Yes being in the YouTube world comes with the territory of being hate and criticize by others. It had been a hard week for me emotionally, but commenting back to him or sue him only brings in more attention and more hatred by others. Even after people comes out saying we are not viewbotting and the views to comments to likes ratios are from kids, people still think Pews is right. People believe his words like it's the bible and I can see that from reading some of the comments even after I explain my side here. Thanks again for all those that support us and understanding our situation. Only thing we can do is wait for this to die down. People are just really killing the retention rate and our views been cut in half on recent videos. I would disable the comments but when we spoke to someone from YouTube said doing so would hurt us more. It would lower user engagement and that does have some effect on how YouTube promote your videos.

Also as someone mention before,I just thought he would understand more than anyone how not to believe everything that you hear/read because of how many times the media say wrong things about him. The media made it sound like we threaten to dethrone him and we never even mention or care about beating anyone. People even thought we are paying the new articles to be in the news. We been getting a lot of request for interview this year, but we ignore them. We just want to mind our own business and have fun recording videos with my son.
Yea I feel bad you guys are being targeted. I see your channel mentioned frequently, but I've come to discover a surprising amount of channels who are huge in the same category. There are a lot of them out there old and new. Hobbykids toysandme evanstube andrewtoychsnnel hailey giant surprise hulyan maya mommy and gracie and so many many more channels. Blucollection and fun toy collector were all over the news a few years ago. But they never responded to media requests and their comments section are blocked. I think theyve been doing all right and theyre not in news anymore. Probably best to let it all blow over. Let another channel get all that attention.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomg I am going to level this quick comment here so I can quickly find this post tomorrow. I want to rant but no! I need to sleep. But I must RANT! But I must SLEEP!

Good God it's burning up inside me lol. Long story short, kids like to play, kids like to have fun, kids want to be on TV. There are so many angles here but one that beats all is none other than happiness.

Do you know if that kid and mother and father are happy??? I am guessing since we all come to quick conclusions then we know EXACTLY what is going on in that household, right?

OH wait....... we don't.
God dammit I'm going to bed I'll finish this later.

he got triggered by an article again.
to be honest the way it was written you'd think it was paid promotion (though they did say in this thread it wasn't)

obvious there are no bot views, just kids watching. I mean I get more likes and comments to the view than pewdiepie does, does that mean he's botting? Of course not!

the one variable in this is the one thing we will never know. - is the child truly happy, and what happens off camera. Only the family know, and in most cases I trust them. I definitely trust Ryan's family, im sure they love and support him as any parent would.

I have a 5 year old son and watches me do youtube videos and always asking if he can do videos! Some kids do want to do it. Its not the adult forcing them.
In fact I did watch the video in question and has actually made me consider starting a child/family review channel myself!

I see all of their new videos are being dislike bombed.

All of Ryan's Toy Review videos have more dislikes than likes.

Toddlers don't know what thumb up or thumb down picture means yet. To a toddler, a thumb up looks like a letter d and a thumb down looks like a hammer. So if they want to practice their alphabets they will probably click on a thumb up, for d--- if they want to play, then they will click on a thumb down for hammer. Obviously, kids like to play so they will click on a thumb down, for a hammer. So you will see a lot of kid channels have more thumbs down then up because they want to play. LOL
