Undiscovered....
I noticed that on one review for the canon 60d it had a swivel screen. So would this mean I wouldn't need one of those monitor things?
And as I don't have a mac, only a pc will it still be ok to use with the canon 60d or will I need a mac?
Also can you recommend which software I should use on my pc to make the videos like in the examples sorry to keep asking questions !
I use a Canon 650D, which has a swivel touch screen. This is very handy for vlogs etc as you can turn the screen to face you, in order to ensure you are in the shot and framed correctly etc.
You will also want an external mi with ANY camera - internal mics are usually rubbish - either a good Rode shotgut mic or a lapel mic (the small type you clip onto your shirt etc). I use an Audio Technica ATR-3350, which I thinks works good for me - you can check out my video and sound quility in my review videos - remember to up the quality to 1080p etc!
I personally found editing on a MAC easier then a PC, buts its on personal preference really. iMovie on the MAC is really easy to use, and I found it superbly stable. Its a great starting point and you can make some high quality videos with it. Once you've learnt it pretty well (which doesnt take to much hard work) you have a natural progression to Final Cut Pro X - which is easy to learn once you know iMovie as it has a similar look and feel. I personally love FCPX. I think its nice and easy to use, and has tons of advanced tools - more then I'll ever need to use!
If not, many of the members here edit on the PC perfectly fine also - all depend son the software you choose, and which you feel more comfortable with.
Shameful plug alert......
Im actually selling an almost new MacBook Pro at the mo if your interested

Is it difficult to upload videos to YouTube from a canon 60D to as its a big file?
The size of the file depends on your editor and your export settings.
Basic workflow:
1. Record video with your camera
2. Import the footage into your editor
3. Add any transitions, effects, changes, etc to craete your final video
4. Export the video and upload to YouTube
Its step 4 that determines the file size.
If you want to uploadin 720p, the fie sizes will be smaller. 1080p yeilds better quality, but larger file sizes.
There are other factors toconsider, includingbit rate etc, but to keep things simple its best to play about with export settings to find those which suit you, and your upload style, best.
Once you choose your platform and your editior, pop back and you'll get tons of info on how to export for god quality and smaler file sizes etc
