Thought it'd be easier if I created good content(music)..but it isn't enough.

Wolfraith is spot on. Whenever I search for royalty free music I go to google and type in "royalty free music" expecting to see the same kinds of sites I've seen for years and allow you to easily download their music. I wouldn't even consider Youtube because it's just another step between me and the place I need to get to (a place to download music).

Thanks for your feedback. I have a website and it hosts all my music. But I have a tough time getting to the top of keywords like royalty free music. As you mentioned most of these sites have been dominating there forever. I was thinking perhaps YouTube would be a different avenue to discover my site.

I also noted that it is kinda nice to use the Playlist to find music.
YouTube's playback is super fast and responsive. If you know you are looking for Electronic Dance music, you can click on the Playlist and run thru all the songs there in a jiffy instead of on the website.

I do get you and I suppose I have it tougher as I am trying to get the word out about the website and the channel too.[DOUBLEPOST=1455779402,1455779049][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'm still trying to figure out thumbnails, too.... One of the things I've been doing is shrinking my thumbnail down and seeing how it would look tiny. ...

Thanks Katy!!! Wow that's really nice of you to help me look into this.
Btw. I've just upload a test drive on the new thumbnail.
I do agree I prefer the name of the song showing up bold but I decided against it (and put it very small at the side) as I don't think the name of the song will add any value to people trying to find this type of specific music. I am not sure if I am right?
Instead I put free music and the style.
Really not sure what I should do.[DOUBLEPOST=1455780584][/DOUBLEPOST]Taken your feedback and made the song title clearer instead. Last image uploaded

I changed my mind again..... x_x;;; Sorry....... I think you're right -- the title isn't nearly as important as the style. When I look for music, I always browse by style if I do not know a title to search for. Once I've narrowed down the music by a certain genre or feel, then the titles/image become more important, at least to me... I think I like shareasimage (16).jpg the most, but I might flip-flop the free music section with the Acoustic | Relaxed section; but I'm also not sure if it would be better to put the style as the first thing in the video title instead of the thumbnail.....I'll think more about it while I'm at work today! : D
Maybe I should ask my mom -- she's like the best honest critic when it comes to this kind of stuff... ^^

Cool free music - thanks! I might recommend checking out the Audio forums on Newgrounds - people are often specifically looking for free music, artists etc, to use in their animations and games. :)

Cool! Thanks so much Jenni. That's so nice of you.
Any other recommendation like this is greatly appreciated.

First of all, your music is pretty awesome. I'll definitely try to incorporate it where I can in my videos and give proper credit. As for expanding and growing, I recommend making tracks people are looking for and tagging and titling it accordingly. A lot of gaming YouTubers, for example, are looking for "comedic" scores. Depending on their style, vloggers are usually looking for something upbeat. Simple examples, but the point is to cater for what people are searching for. Glad I discovered you and I hope this helped!

Reach out to some YouTubers and see if they promote you if you promote them... maybe people whom focus on improving content of creators (ie: YTcreators channel and such).

PS- Going to message you Jay, love your stuff and need some specific tracks for upcoming vids!

Thanks!! I really appreciate the advice. Some gems in there. Yes I have been told comedy music is what gamers are looking for. Upbeat is always in demand. Thanks for confirming this! My problem is titling and tagging. I am lost for ideas and I don't want the tags to be pushy but tasteful.[DOUBLEPOST=1456535352,1456535043][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hey that's an awesome idea. I am going to work on that next. I notice many promote eg '5 music channels that you can use on youtube.' I am thinking how they can promote me solely (greedy). I can't really compete with YouTube library to be honest. I guess the main thing when people use my music is that they know it's from me directly - the composer. That helps with the giving them peace of mind.

~ Thanks. What kind of tracks just wondering? Wish you the best in your upcoming videos.
