The ultimate Reddit guide.

From everything I've read about Reddit from here and from my own research, you have to have a thick skin. I'm a vlogger so I don't know if I would post there but chances are I would and then take what came. I can make interesting content but I don't know about making exciting front page stuff. I guess research and tread carefully.

I posted my GTA 5 video on the /GrandTheftAutoV subreddit, i got about 400 views from it, 7 likes and 4 dislike on youtube, i also got some karma on reddit. I guess this could have gone a lot worse but you gotta try these things :P

I've been posting my videos on Reddit for a while and I've gotten pretty much nothing from every subreddit I've posted on.

Getting flamed on there would actually be a luxury for me. I don't even get as much as a downvote, lol...

I managed to get quite a bit of traffic from Reddit. The only issue I have is that the traffic I get can be somewhat negative. Generally my videos get far more likes than dislikes (92 likes and 8 dislikes in the last 30 days) however whenever I post to Reddit I'll get quite a bit more views but a disproportionate increase in dislikes. Honestly it sort of discourages me from even bothering with Reddit. My goal is to get views, not attract trolls. Feels like I might as well be posting on /b/

Just realized why I wasn't getting ANY comments or votes on reddit. My old account was shadowbanned due to login issues.

I made a new one and got some positive comments on my posts. Looking forward to getting flamed.. heh.

Reddit sounds a slaughterhouse everytime I read about it. Lmao.
I will posts but I know that my content is not worthy of it ATM. In due time I will dive into Reddit and face the flames. Bring it on.

Just don't be surprised or discouraged if your videos get disliked for no reason. You will get that from Reddit. However you will also get views and possibly subs, posting a video to Reddit a few times a week has upped my daily views from ~200 to ~800. The key is to follow the 80/20 rule. For every 5 contributions to a community you make only 1 should be self promotion. And the other 4 need to be good contributions, not just spam. If all you do is post your videos you will get trolled and you will get down voted.

I've been getting the hang of using reddit and my link karma literally jumped from 1 to 250+ overnight by posting some funny pics from my iphone and initiating some discussions.

I haven't gotten too many comments or votes whenever I post a video, so I'll still try to get my karma up with images and comments.[DOUBLEPOST=1385792238,1385773016][/DOUBLEPOST]Finally got downvoted and flamed on a subreddit I posted a video in!

I have officially made it on Reddit. :P
