The 'I Got Partnered with RPM' Thread

Yes you do!!!
The application process changed, you now sign the contract as part of the application process and if you don`t have copyright they`ll co-sign it and send you the email to link your account to their CMS.[DOUBLEPOST=1365294815,1365294764][/DOUBLEPOST]
They have to co-sign the contract, they have the right to not sign it in which case the contract would be terminated.
......... Lawyers are clever people... Ah well... How bad can it be? What other network would I join in the coming year anyhow? Even if all the new ''recruits'' will lower the CPM and support and all that, without a network I would be alone anyhow, and it's not like I can monetize gaming footage without a network which has rights which allow me to actually do it.

Nope... They don`t.. they just get away with it more often :p
Oh... ... Don't they have the same rights to give out as TGS does? Anyhow, it's not like Blizzard is a greedy company and it's their games I make videos of as of yet.

TGS don`t have any either :p

And doesn`t Blizzard have a free-commercial use policy on their games? I know some of them do at least.

Actually I think they have a policy which says that you can't monetize youtube videos of their games... Or was it have people pay to watch?... I am not sure about that stuff there has been a lot of confusion over it but I bet there is a clear answer out there somewhere. But yeah I guess companies feel safer if they can just tell a network that they don't like my stuff so that the network can tell me to stop?...

Nah, they`ll still just give you a strike without alerting the network ;)

Networks are just less strict than Youtube.
Wait, I don't get it... So what is the difference between monetizing without and with network? Won't the network help to see it that copyright doesn't hit me? It feels like all my reading has been a lie! D:

Networks provide you with some support and maybe some extra features :p
Well alright! But I still don't get how people like Jesse Cox, Wowcrendor, Totalbiscuit and all those TGS people can always be safe from things like that... I guess companies trust them because they only help? But there are a lot of others who also monetize but are lower in viewer bases aswell... But now that I think about it I think Totalbiscuit mentioned that Sega copyright struck him once before? But then he yelled at them or something and they removed it, probably because he has a million subscribers and all that good stuff.

Still, how as an example, would I go about if a gaming company just struck my video with copyright? Just remove the video(s)? I mean what can I say to them? ''IT'S FAIR USE''...?
