The death of YouTube?

now my problem is that im doing one but i am completely unknown and that kills because i look at the big channels doing content i already have done and posted and i get no views and they get thousands so looking for a way to get noticed havent found any yet
you can try posting your videos as responses to some of the bigger youtube gamers :/

I listened to about 3 minutes of what this guy had to say and a lot of it made sense.. However when he said about it being difficult for small youtubers to gain success, I'm sure its always been like this, I mean not everyone can become successful it almost is just luck.. If you look at any other industry, not everyone can be "superstars" whether its music, film or business..there are loads of talented musicians in the world who will dedicate their lives to music but will never receive hardly any credit for what they have done, that's just the way everything works

I believe that the number 1 reason why a lot of peopel starting channels nowadays won't survive is because they are not taking it serious. I'm in the gaming upload portion of YT and it's SOOOO many channels that do what I do. But people are doing it just because it is the thing to do, it's the fad or trend. But unless you are willing to actually put hard work into making your videos AND networking and promoting your videos, you will most likely stay where you are with little or no growth. People walk into this BUSINESS without a business mentality. Sure it's fun and if you do it for fun, just don't expect to gain heaps of exposure and views. If you want that you must work really hard and keep up that work ethic. It's free to post on YT so sure a lot of people will do it, but the most successful run their channel like a business. So YT will never die because it's new people signing up everyday and some of them along with the established channels will keep driving and bringing in money.

I agree with this!... I've watched some people's videos...and it seemed like..they were on youtube for the wrong reasons...they took no time to edit the video's...and it sometimes seemed like they didn't even care what they were putting online..as long as it made em famous...
I see people who close their accounts within a few weeks because they can't get their video's out there and they aren't getting 489720394782380472 views....making videos popular takes time..and luck...might as well have fun and actually enjoy what your doing while you wait to get your foot in the door... <3

The good thing about the people who don't take it seriously is that they also won't do it right. 'IT' meaning setting up the channel well, using SEO techniques, researching keywords, etc. Most people join YouTube, upload a video, embed the video on a site or blog and never return. This makes it really easy to get ahead of their items.
