The death of YouTube?

....I know a majority of you aren't really a fan of Onision...but I was watching WhatTheBuckShow...and Spricket..and they mentioned a video Onision did recently...about youtube dying...he may not be the nicest person...but the stuff he said in this video...I actually agreed with...and it worried me all at the same time... What are your thoughts on this...? <3

yeah i seen that video, its quite sad really... but i dont think famous youtubers would have a problem with this..

Honestly, I'm laughing at these YouTube 'stars' with millions of subscribers complaining about the "shade" YouTube has thrown them lately...when in reality YouTube has been doing the same to people that aren't as big or don't fit their 'mold' or idea of the perfect YouTuber. ShaneDawson, RayWilliamJohnson, etc., all these people that have been promoted ENDLESSLY by YouTube and has made close to millions of dollars are now OUTRAGED and expressing their concern about YouTube's 'new direction'...lol...when there's nothing new about it. You were just unaffected so you were unbothered about it.

To keep it real, 99.9% of the people at the top aren't that funny, have no real talent, and in general are dry as hell. Anyway...good luck to 'em.

I say whatever happens, happens. Things change, they can't stay the same forever. :/

I don't think its dying I just think its evolving into something new. There's no prerequisites or middle man to upload to youtube, anyone can upload it's really a double edged sword scenario.
The market has gotten bigger, last year youtube averaged about 30 hours of content a minute, to present day its now at about 60. There's so much content of different levels of quality, naturally this is going to effect view counts. It's also well known now that there's an opportunity to make money on youtube something that wasn't generally known a few years back I think this has contributed to a lot of users working harder and longer on videos. I always think of it like trying to open a burger restaurant next to a MacDonalds. You have to put in the work it's as simple as that.

I know it's all too coincidental how my channel has been affected. For about a month I was climbing steadily in subscribers, now suddenly I gain the same amount every day, but lose that amount every day too. I'm beating my head against a wall because it's just back and forth, up and down, and at first I thought I was doing something wrong. Then I heard about this happening and was like "you have got to be kidding me" I've had about 5 people tell me they were unsubbed from me, how many are being unsubbed and don't know? If they don't fix this I feel completely screwed.

I wouldn't worry about YouTube dying, it will probably go in phases of good/bad changes but solid content should eventually win out if you broadcast it well. Just my two cents.

I agree... my views about youtube dying and all that junk has changed after some thinking...and youtube isn't going anywhere...like you said it's just gonna go through it's good and bad changes..then everything will just even itself out and go slightly back to normal.
