I'm sure every Youtuber at some point has felt like they should just give up. I know it's a slow process, but it's getting the dislikes on your videos which really kicks you in the teeth. Do people not understand how much effort and time goes into these videos for them to be disliked? Personally, if I don't like a video, I just stop watching it, I don't go ahead and dislike it.
Anyway, the title says it all. I've just splashed out on an Elgato and I'm wondering if I made the right choice. I have a lot of support from other Youtubers who I have became close to, but then my family keep telling me to get a life, which is pretty hard to hear seeing as they don't understand how depressed and lonely I was before starting Youtube.
Is it normal to want to give up so easily? I just feel like I don't produce good quality videos. I'm still trying to find my comfort zone whilst playing games but my confidence bursts out in my vlogs. Maybe Youtube just isn't for me?
