Started A Gaming Channel. Need Some Advice

Your channel is amazing man. i have actually subs. where did you get ur intro from ? i actually see nothing bad with ur contact, and you guys remind me on mechina was at one point.

Thanks a lot. We love hearing praise, keeps us motivated.

I made the intro myself, glad you like it. I made it using after effects, took a while but i think its catchy, quick and simple.

This really looks like something that a really good youtuber would have. I mean, the setup and all.
I'm very, very noobish with my channel. So you can tell from comparing that you are much, much better XD
Your thumbnails are really awesome! Very bright and attractive.

Thanks. We wanted to look as professional as possible when we started. We also made a new channel trailer to try to drive mor views / subs

I have to agree with the majority opinion, so this comment is basically gonna be a waste of space, but your channel looks super firggin solid, man. The production and the art style in terms of thumbnails, banners and stuff is top notch, it kinda boggles my mind that you guys are actually new to this :D There are 'tubers with millions of views whose channels don't look as professional. And it's not just for show, you guys do actually have something to offer, you have great chemistry together and the videos are entertaining as a result. All in all, some really good stuff, I do hope you keep it going! :thumbsup2:

As for the promotion bit, I'm of course by no means of expert, but I think you just have to get your names out there, no need to really shove your channel into people's faces and being "spammy" as you said. Staying active on forums, social media, reddit, whatever you prefer, and letting the people who might be interested in your videos know who you are is sufficient I think, and it allows people to check you out at their convenience without you being too overt, while also keeping you fresh in their minds and maintaining awareness.

I do hope you guys gain some traction, can't wait to see what the future has in store for you! :)

Hi all,

So my friend and I started a gaming channel and things have been going well it terms of recording and editing content. We got the equipment, started making videos and now are posting them online on our channel.

We're looking for some feedback and I'm wondering if any one can check out our latest video and let us know if there's anything for us to work on, be it commentary, visuals or even game selection. We would love to hear about anything we should work or try to improve on.

Also any tips or advice on promotion would be greatly appreciated. We want to spend time promoting the channel but don't want to come off spammy or anything so any advice there would be greatly appreciated.

Bro sick stuff. Pretty spot on. Intros, thumbnails, graphics are awesome. I have to ask, what programs are you using to do your intros and thumbnails. I mean my buddy and I have our own gaming channel, but your graphics blow ours out of the water ha. Im just now going back through some of our thumbnails to redo them.

As for promoting yourselves, maybe do a collaboration with someone just a bit higher in popularity than yourselves? It's a tough gig to get popular.

Again kudos guys.

Thanks man, we did our best to look as polished / professional as possible right from the beginning. So far, it looks like we're going to keep at it.

I love it. I love the intro and I love how you guys talk , its hilarious
Thanks, I (Abe, the smaller darker one) made it. Made it using After Effects, took a while but I like how it came out.

Tanks, & yeah I gotta connect with other LPers out there. Wanted to have some videos and stuff in order before we start but that day is getting closer.

The intro was made in after effects, the thumbnails and art was made with Photoshop and Illistrator. I am a graphic designer / motion artist in my "real" job so I was able to make them myself.

Im a prepress guy myself, not much design in the last few years. My buddy designed to channel ha but Im going to revamp it soon. Just out of curiosity how hard is it to learn after effects? Sadly I only own CS4 at home (never had a chance to play with it) but at work Im on the newest version.

I usually compare it as "Video Photoshop"

If you're familiar with Photoshop or Adobe interfaces its pretty easy to grasp After Effects.

There are a bunch of tutorials on YT but I'd say easy to learn but hard to master.
