Started A Gaming Channel. Need Some Advice

Hi all,

So my friend and I started a gaming channel and things have been going well it terms of recording and editing content. We got the equipment, started making videos and now are posting them online on our channel.

We're looking for some feedback and I'm wondering if any one can check out our latest video and let us know if there's anything for us to work on, be it commentary, visuals or even game selection. We would love to hear about anything we should work or try to improve on.

Also any tips or advice on promotion would be greatly appreciated. We want to spend time promoting the channel but don't want to come off spammy or anything so any advice there would be greatly appreciated.

Great banner and avatar, i think they look very professional and cool. The intro is so amazing, i really like it! The audio is very clear, there is no noise or echo. The camera video quality is a little low but i think it's passable for beginners. I think you have great personality for a gaming channel, maybe make your set a little bit more visually appealing but other than that i say your off to a great start!

Thanks for the advice. We'll work on making the set more appealing to look at, maybe get some better camera equipment.

I'm checking out your channel right now. I can tell you right away your thumbnails are amazing. Banner is fantastic. Intro is slick and the transition is awesome.
Looking at the views you get per video.. I would say everything looks good you just need more time and if you had some help on the promotion side you would gain followers and fans pretty fast.

Decent commentary, clear voices.. Geez, there is seriously nothing to say bad about your channel, lol.

I'm a bit jealous Hehe
Anyways very nice. Just keep at it - giving it time and doing promotion of your channel is what I think you would need to work on.

All of your visuals (thumbnails, avatar, banner) are awesome and super professional looking and nice! Good job on that! I really think the intro in your video is short and nice looking so it's no problem at all (thats a problem I've seen for new channels), but I would say the area you're recording in could be a bit more appealing since you are doing a face cam and all that (look at the channel CowChop for examples of putting stuff in there to make it more appealing; they do a great job of this) and also I don't know if you intentionally do this or not but the face cam cut out after a certain amount of time and I honestly think you guys should just keep it in!
But other than that you guys are looking good and making some quality videos so nice job and keep up the good work!

Thanks man, really appreciate it. We both graduated in media studies and worked on a few videos and shows before we started making our channel so we had plenty of experience. Glad you think it looks professional.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, we gotta work on making the face cam more visually pleasing. We wanted to keep it for reactions and stuff but I can see how the "set" look pretty bland and not that "sexy"

Damm you just started 2 weeks ago!? This is amazing! with regards to all your video though, I might recommend getting rid of the red borders on your gameplays. Not sure whats up with that.

Great Intro/Great Banner/ Commentary by two dudes? (don't see that often).
Thumbnails - simple and on point.
The camera angles - are great and switching in between gameplay and your reactions add some interactions with the audience.
Audio - Clear and audible (i'm not too picky)

By far I would be surprise if this channel doesn't pick up. Great Job!

Thanks for the reply. We put up the red borders to give ourselves some brand recognition. They really serve no purpose other than to remind people they're watching us.

Hope we do pick up, a bunch of time and work went into this would love to get more eyeballs on us, but we're having a great time making this stuff.
