Yeah, looks like ContentID applications take a while. All that means to me is we all need to apply ASAP, IF you qualify.

I applied for that close a year back and never got a response
To get Content ID you need a high-up contact in YouTube plus history in rights management as a company.

I had a network tell me they had trouble getting responses from YouTube as well.

I can start an electronics company tomorrow but I'm sure I won't be competition for Sony any time soon. The divide between YouTube and other sites is MASSIVE to the point that YouTube has nothing to worry about. You guys are unhappy? So what? What you gonna do? Must be doing something wrong then, I find it fairly easy to get a response within the hour during working hours.
