Somebody stole my "viral" video but I want to make claim, not remove

Exactly my point, the people think I'm some stupid guy but the truth is, this has just been all a misunderstanding.
Ever since the start, we stated that why can't he just Report the said "re-uploaded" video on youtube and even contact his network (if he hasn't one then join one).

If he reports stolen video(s) to youtube (if this is what you meant - pardon me if i understood you wrong), then most likely thiefs channels will get copyright strike and most likely taken down that video - its not what OP wants. OP mentioned that he wants to have ad revenue from his claimed videos which are re-uploaded on other channels. As i understand the easiest way to do it is to join a network which offers that feature for its partners (if not yet joined)

Then we already answered the question a long time ago.
Join a network.

Or he can give a license onto his video to the companies like VIRAL SPIRAL (or something like that). They will be defending your content, finding all the copies and claim it (I suppose). But it's a revshare scheme, so you have to split your earnings with such companies.

ViralSpiral has a terrible reputation.

A sensible answer! Thanks!

I can't decide if you're trolling or not.

Of course it's stealing. He's found someone else's video that is popular, downloaded it from someone else's channel, uploaded to his own and started monetizing it. The fact that he's earning less than the owner of the video is irrelevant lol.

Let's give you another example regarding something you have created. You sell graphics here on YTtalk ( ) How about someone downloads your logos and then sells them on pretending they're his own? Is that stealing? Are you happy about that? What about if he sells them a bit cheaper than you? Is that still stealing?

@carlylespicks - I'll move this to the monetization forum where hopefully you'll get some advice. If you're in a network, they should be able to help with this too.
[DOUBLEPOST=1413051348,1413051181][/DOUBLEPOST]That is obvious and I stated that in my original question. It would be nice if people actually responded to the question asked. My question again is HOW to report it without it getting pulled. I want to make a claim on the video like a record company might do. It happens automatically for them but I'll need to do it manually.

I've been on YouTube for 5+ years. I know how to report a video. It's a simple process. What I don't know is how to avoid the video being pulled.

Many nonsense on this thread :) If video is truly yours report it like Kira mentioned.
[DOUBLEPOST=1413051444][/DOUBLEPOST]I used them and they screwed me just like most of those stupid network parasites that take advantage of 16 year olds that don't know better. The problem with these losers is how will you know if you getting paid or not? I have not received a check from my viral video from last year in months yet I see it still getting views.

Jukin Video then,

there's a load of them about :p
[DOUBLEPOST=1413051779][/DOUBLEPOST]The only people who benefit from networks are networks and multi-hundredthousand sub channels and even those guys are complaining. All they do is grab a bunch of channels from teenagers who don't know better and make money from them and do next to nothing in return. YouTube already takes so much money from you guys and you want to share it with a 3rd party who could not care less for you?

It just blows my mind how many people still join those networks and recommend then yet I've not heard any good reasons presented. All I hear is the marketing lies repeated "they make you more money". Yeah sure...AFTER they take a SECOND cut from the MEAGER earnings that YouTube gives you. So in order for them to make you more money, they have to first compensate for their cut AND do it CONSISTENTLY, then at that point you are at ZERO profit from the partnership with the network, then they need to increase earnings significantly more to make it worthwhile. Networks are mostly snake oil salesmen.

Then we already answered the question a long time ago.
Join a network.
[DOUBLEPOST=1413052129][/DOUBLEPOST]You actually read the question! Thank you! Yeah, network...NOT gonna happen. I'm not big on giving away thousands of dollars with little in return. Offering to take care of stuff like this claim situation would barely justify the risks and lost revenue. It's like charging me $100/month for witchcraft insurance and trying to justify it by offering me free band-aids. So for $100 each month, on the odd chance I need band-aids you got me covered, otherwise (as witchcraft is not real) I'll get nothing while you get a fat paycheck.

Jukin Video is not a network it's a licensing/ distribution company so it's all good :)

I know what they are. I've used them and as I mentioned they ripped me off. They are just like the networks. Ripping off YouTubers.

[DOUBLEPOST=1413054814,1413053929][/DOUBLEPOST]I appreciate the enthusiasm on this forum it's clear to me now based on the caliber of 8 out of 10 of the replies I get, that this forum is mostly used by inexperienced YouTubers who are just starting out. This is why much of the information I get is seriously incorrect. For example somebody suggested that I need to be on a network to make a contentID claim to monetize somebody else's video. This appears to be false. However, thanks to their suggestion, I was able to do a quick search and found yet again more proof of my anti-network stance. ContentID is a YouTube thing, not a network thing. As far as I see, I can make a claim myself.

If you want to lean about it, take a look here.

youtubewebsite/content_id_signup

In the meanwhile I'll search for a more appropriate forum. I'm having some serious growth problems with my channel and YouTube is nothing but a website. I get almost no help from then. I need people with 10k subs or greater channels share ideas with. I know we have a few big channels here, but they are few and far between.
