Some people just don't have the personality for YT!

Im sorry but I totally disagree, You wouldnt wanna watch a video with somebody with absolutley no energy or interesting jokes would you?

Everyone has different definitions of "too little energy" or "too much energy". Different definitions of "interesting jokes" and "not interesting jokes".

Unfortunately there just isn't a standard baseline for what is appealing and what isn't. There are the mainstream audience that wants what the majority wants, then there are the fringe that only want to see specific things on YouTube.

That said, "there is an audience for everyone" is a simplified, but true statement. The fact is, there will be people interested in a video regardless of how I or you feel about it.

To your point of getting a larger audience and being "mainstream" well that's a choice we all have to make. Whether if we want to entertain by being like other established YouTubers, or if we want to stay true to our own brand and try to make that work.

I agree with you. I mean, people come on Youtube to be entertained because they're bored, right? Or maybe they're interested in finding new interesting people, lol.

i can dif see why i dont have a lot of subs because my voice (i think) is boring and monotone...and i record with a phone LOL but i enjoy making videos

I have lots of energy:) I upload videos because it's fun used to want be famous but not as much as I used to I like inspiring people people say I'm inspiring I love talking singing playing bongos dancing and making random videos I have 1 video of me chasing birds lol

they might not get an audience, but they could still get the views if they kept it up, depends on the contnet i mean if they were doing walkthroughs on games, and doing them alot, then i'm sure even if they werent all funny n shizz they would still get subs a reckon

I noticed some people are on YouTube to be mean I mean most people that Try to hate on me either have 0 subscribers or a lower number than I do

I think it takes time to finally get comfortable in front of a camera if it's you who's being viewed and not a gaming screen.

I think everyone on YT has a chance to do well.. thats what YOUtube is.. being YOU or YOUR character. It's just about being comfortable while talking out loud.. which I guess is hard for a good majority of ppl.

I am awkward in real life, so it semi - translates over when I'm filming.. my first few videos were REALLY awkward but i'm trying to relax more and i've gotten a bit more comfortable. I still laugh at myself and cringe sometimes at stuff I say while I'm editing.

Personality is a huge factor. You just have to be likeable or people won't watch your videos. But I think you can work on it and after making many videos you improve, at least a I hope so.

I think that there's always something out there for everyone, but I think not everyone has what it takes to be HUGE on YouTube. There are some gamers/vloggers/etc I've seen that I've physically cringed watching they were so awful, but they had more subs than me so they must be doing something right.

But you'll notice, as annoying as you may find some of the really big timers, they are all good at what they do and they all have really bold personalities. Without that a small but friendly following is what you're likely to achieve. Which is no bad thing depending on your intentions :)
