Skippable vs. Non-skippable ads: which to use?

What would the comparison be if you were to assign a ratio to even out the number of monetized instances of them? (ie. CPM in theory should be higher on standard instream, but of course fewer of those will display as they are more expensive to the advertiser.)

Standard Reserved In-Stream CPM is almost 50% higher than Auction TruView In-stream and Reserved In-stream Select. That being said, Standard Reserved In-Stream had 3MM views, Auction TruView In-stream had 18MM views and Reserved In-stream Select had only 550K views. Nearly 70% of my revenue is from Auction TruView In-Stream.

Just go to your video manager, select all videos on that page using the topmost checkmark, then there should pop up text with option to select all your videos. Then go to actions, more actions, adformats and edit it however you like :).
Damn why didn't I scroll down and read you post before going through and changing each one individually. Thanks for the tip!

Just thought I'd check to make sure I didn't have old videos with non skippables and was surprise to see how many I had. I wonder how many views I've missed out on :(

For my tiny channel that I use for learning and testing, I cannot enable the ad options In-stream select ads and Standard In-stream. Do you know what it takes to unlock this options?
Also, could you share a link to a video showing In-stream select ads ?
Thanks a lot in advance!

When I read Google specifications... The word 'Reserved' has never been mentioned.

I am a Google Preferred channel in the Parenting & Family category

I'm not sure but I figure that the Reserved ad category is one where Google reserves ad slots for advertisers. Since I do 14 million views a month, Google can reserve a designated number of ad impressions for advertisers that want to target my audience.

Here is what I found on this:

"There are two ways advertisers place ads on YouTube:

  1. Running ads on YouTube that are bid on and priced through the AdWords Auction.
  2. Reserving a placement on the site through a YouTube Sales Representative or DoubleClick MediaVisor. This is called a Reserved Media Buy."

I have disabled Non skippable ads on all of my 150 videos, looking forward to the results :3. I will post the outcome here after 1-2 weeks of testing :). Averaging over 120k views per month so it should be objective.

Can you post your results? Did your income increase or decrease?

Dear User
Skippable & non Skipable ad selection is depends upon the video which you are uploading in youtube

if the video is very very important to him to watch he definitely waits until the ad completes if its not or can be found in from the other users of youtube he will abandon the video

so be careful while selecting/uploading the video

as i use to give NonSkippable ads because i am teaching the food and recipes which is not available in the youtube and from other users

so good luck which selecting the same
