Setting up to launch a adword campaign - and consulting?

I don't believe the new playlists have to generate traffic at all. Derral and Roberto never mention it, but they both say you can put any video in a playlist. For example: you can create a playlist and not include any of your videos and the Algorithm will just recognize it as a new unique id (upload frequency) for your channel. Derral did say you should never create a new playlist right after you upload a new video and vice versa. It would be like uploading two videos back to back. The latter will devour the former directing all of the view/watch time velocity to it. I publish one video every day between 3-5 pm (usually around 3pm) and if I want to create a new playlist on a particular day I do it between 9-10 hours later (12-1 am). Derral suggest 15 hours apart, but I don't stay up that late most of the time. I think I'll try 15 hours next time.
Interesting. Thanks for the info!

In the YouTube Creator's app:
Analytics>Discovery>

Scroll all the way down then tap on "Top playlist playing your content". Now change the timeframe to Realtime 60 minutes. This will provide the current playlist driving the most traffic in terms of watch time. Hopefully this is what you were looking for. If not, please let me know.

Take care!

Yep, this is were it just says temporary playlists :(

Thank you!

The channel is sparkle spice. The link is on her channel page along with the link to her network. She is also offering 30 min and 1hr. Her channel started off as massive toy hauls then eventually more playing with toys. I thought she (or he?) Was a toy collector but I believe that was her strategy?

When my kiddos watch these videos, I do the initial search and monitor what they pick, and they just chose whatever that pops up on suggestions. Or I'll go to a channel I know is safe and have them watch it. So I think my target also includes parents. I know I also use short key words since it's faster to key in when you have a screaming child. I've never used social media to search.

So the use of machine learning interesting. It makes sense, google/youtube is a big data peoblem. Would this mean that all your metadata is then important because it throws all those variable into the mix? I also think this might actually give the smaller channels a chance because you are looking at the data as a whole? Oh, and what does appearing in vertical mean?

I wished I could start a thread, but haven't racked up enough points to do so...

In regards to Adwords, is there a list of general keywords in the children's vector you always use that has given you lots of success?
I would be thrilled to see what keywords have helped people out to set up a successful campaign that hits the children's channels.

I know for example if your video is about "The floor is Lava" That itself might be a keyword, but would another be "challenges for kids" and since kids love to watch toy unboxings, would another be "toy opening"

I've been running ads on placements to target certain audiences that watch certain channels, but I'd like to see if I get better luck with keyword targeting.

I usually use "toys" "kids channel" "toys for boys" "toys for girls" and so on.. I get a lot of clicks using just general keywords. When I have targeted more closely I don't seem to get to many clicks... but maybe that's just me.

I started to run ads to keep my channel alive now. The add I run I run in the top geographical views for my channel and int is nor USA or Canada. In the 3rd worlds country you will get cheaper views for 0.01 and it is what I am after right now. To get in recommended in USA or Canada you need to pay at least 0.02 or 0.03 per view and it is to much this days, for 0.01 you wouldt get any movement in this two country.[DOUBLEPOST=1501084907,1501084851][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes, general words worked for me better then specific so far.

If you are targeting big channels, most of the time they use very general kws like "toys" "kids", etc.

I think it's the price increase during summer. Should drop back to 1 cent soon. The concern about third world countries, is if you do get views and subs from there, the CPM is much lower than the US. But of course it's better than nothing. Have you tried to increment the price increase - I can still get ads served at about 1.25 cents/view in the US.
