I've Got It
Hey! I was wondering if anyone had some advice or even experience in overcoming self esteem issues as a new or even seasoned youtuber?
I will be completely transparent here and tell you all that I have yet to post any videos because I am scared of rude and/or threatening comments.
I have seen people get slammed so hard by people sitting behind a computer spitting hate, and honestly...that scares me a lot.
How did you get past this and just make a video and not care what people thought?

On my first video 'Vacant', I got a lot of hate because I did something at the end which was so 'controversial', and I got a lot of hate on a couple of my instagram as well from it, but it wasn't a huge deal, it was just a couple of people looking for trouble and something to start. But it didn't stop me making videos, well I've only made two, but I'm planning lots more, and gonna continue making them!

I am not filming myself, but I guess it is kinda like talking in front of auditorium. When I have to talk in front of tons of people I just put my mind in - "Don't give a f*ck what others say" mode.
Obviously people will hate and comment bad things, but that's how it is and always will be.

I don't have the highest self esteem either
What I'll say to you is
surround yourself with supportive people and don't pay too much attention to anyone who just hates for the sake of it

Haters make you famous. And practice will bring comfort in what you do especially in public. Eventually you will stop caring.
I'm still waiting for that part. I don't like being judged for filming vlogs in public. Even when there's nobody around. :bag2:

I post videos mainly for myself, and not so much for other people. i make videos and music that i like, and that i enjoy, so i only need to worry about my own critique. that makes negative feedback from other people a lot less meaningful to me. :)
