Google plus is HORRIBLE they need to get rid of it! It's really inconvenient!

Google+ is one of the reasons I dislike YouTube. I love how I can do what I want on YouTube, but G+ makes it a hassle.

I made the switch, I kind of regret it but I'm really hoping they add the option to chance the username. They let me keep my username which is andrewreviewyou and it's even in my youtube URL. But my channel name has become my display, I feel akward posting around sometimes as it's a bit of a long name :/

I really don't understand why people make such a big deal about having to connect their Youtube accounts with Google Plus. The only problem with it is that there's no way to get to your inbox with one click of a link. Once you connect your account, it's not like you actually have to use Google Plus. The only feature that has to be used is the avatar, so it displays on your channel. Nothing else.

Also, newer features are being added for those who have connected accounts. One of those features is the Community tab, which you can find through the video manager. While not everyone has access to it fully, I've seen some who do, or at least have more features with it. I've read that this was apparently added for those with connected accounts, though that was a couple weeks ago.

The community tab will let you see things like those who have been subscribed to you the longest, those who have had the most activity on your channel, and possibly some other things that I won't know about right now.

Both, I had to make a page or else they would have forced me to use my real name, though. I was able to make a +page prior to connecting YT and G+ and when I did they gave me the option to keep my YouTube username and channel name without that stupid message "we'll ask you again later". I know I can put a fake name into the G+ profile but then I'd need spaces inbetween anyways.

I don't get the hate about G+ !

It is better than facebook when it comes to privacy !
You can post animated gif !!!!!
You can write article In your status !
The hastag actually means something !
The circle feature is great to manage your followers !
It's quicker than facebook to get real follower (200 followers from my suscriber are following me on G+)
+1 feature actually has weight on ranking in google search engine

You will need G+ for the brand new comment section where moderation will be a blast !

I assume people dislike G+ just for the sake of disliking (because it is so swagg to be like everyone else) use it before making any judgement !

I don't use it that much myself, but it is just because none of my friend are on it ! But I can see its potential and quality !

Or you could just connect to G+, and not have to worry about any of this? Seriously, what is there to loose? The only thing that changes is you got to take one extra click to get to your inbox, and you change your avatar on G+. Everything else is literally the same.

I've been connected for months now, and haven't had 1 problem. I haven't heard of any cons from G+, just pros.

• The ability to connect with your most active subscribers.
• The ability to connect with any of your subscribers.
• The ability to connect with a community of YouTubers.
• Monitored comments (Still in beta)
• A website to share your videos, and connect with your fans.
• Save all of your avatars, that way if you want to switch back you can easily.
  

Cons

• Takes an extra click to get to inbox.
• Need to go to G+ to change avatar.

Is there a way to connect your youtube account to a separate G+ page? I.e., can I have my main youtube channel connected to my main gmail, and then have a "fan page"-like thing to connect to my youtube? I.e., so my personal G+ doesn't have to change avatars.
