I've Got It
From personal experience yes this is possible. My channel is very young about 2 1/2 months or so. In that time I have gained a pretty decent following 287 subs as of writing this. I gain about 6-10 new subs a day. I emailed about 30 companies relevant to what I do. Particularly reviewing PC gaming peripherals. I got 4 responses. 3 told me they like the quality of my content and want to keep in touch and will be willing to offer me a partnership once I reach a certain sub limit. I think one was 1k one was 3k and another was 10k. The fourth company however accepted me into their program. They said that they saw potential in the quality of my videos and the rate of growth I was seeing. I am very humbled and blown away to have been accepted so early on. I work very hard on my channel. I pull 12 hour shift at work (ER) and then work on my channel another 4-6 hours before crashing out. All while making time for my family.
Sorry for the long story but I just wanted to present the whole situation as to how I did it.
TLDR: yes its possible. It doesn't hurt to try. At least start a dialog with the companies so that you can know what their expectations are.
