When you become a celebrity you do give up a certain amount of privacy and Ray is a celebrity. So it was normal for this to go public.
Ray does need to do more to be part of the community.
Even if there are excuses for why the CEO is not being professional, he is still not being professional.
I think that Ray just needs to hire an attorney and handle it legally.

I don't know what's going on.
I think that Maker was too agressive in their desire to aquire more equity from Ray's channel and brand label. A 60/40 split is ridiculous for even someone who partners with SocialBlade and gets a couple thousand views a month, but for someone of Ray's side, you would think he'd get more credit over this. Even with a paid staff writing his content, you'd think those earnings would be flat earning rates, rather than a percentage of the net earnings. God, things are crazy. Hearing horror stories arise from Machinima, watching this drama take place in Maker, and factoring the sketchy behavior TGN has been exhibiting lately, I'm starting to wonder whether being in a network is a good thing at all. Then again, being on adsense makes you liable to get banned, so it's not much better. I made a vlog talking about Ray and Maker a couple months ago, and it did well, getting over 5,000 views. I wonder if I should make another one?

Eh.. This thread is very very one sided. Also, just because you put in your apple phone the name of a person and then have a text from it..does not make it that actual person. If you guys would like to see where Ray William Johnson thinks I should have as many subs as him, give me a few minutes and I'll put that out for you.
I honestly don't know where to go on this. I watched the Video that Shay carl did in response to it and .. He came out very sincere with his side. I have no doubt that Maker Studios was being very.. Corporatese on him.. but not sure how much of this can and should be blamed on them. The CEO's past is not relevant unless it has to do with business or people. The Text messages can be faked. The email was confirmed to be legit by shay carl and probably is the most damaging to my mind.
It's worth going and doing research and seeing Shay carl's/Maker Studio's side of it.
Now while I sit here and do all this postulating.. I have to agree with Pearl.. all of this is crazy damaging to Maker Studios and public opinion is what matters.. not mine.

This makes me glad i didnt decide to go with that network, to begin with i didnt like their cut and their support took 1 week 1/2 to answer a simple question...

I'm with them and they answer my questions in a day. They don't work on the weekends like most networks. Their cut is 60/40 yes but their CPM is unlimited. Even after the cut I earn more than somebody from TGN with their 100% contract.
