pewdiepie is now number 1 most subbed, thoughts?

I just looked up the statistics and Youtube has over a billion unique visits every month. So, a billion people has an account on YT. 1 000 000 000. And Pewdiepie has 12 000 000 subscribers. So, if we take out the gamers out of a billion, there are probably even more than 12 million people who'd like him, right? Therefore, he deserves every subscriber he gets, because he makes videos that a certain group of people is interested in.​

But, then again, there are SO MANY content creators on Youtube that are so much talented and deserve more attention than they get, and they ''only'' have a million or two subscribers. This doesn't make any sense to me... I don't know where people are and what they do, but I'd say that, for example, Paint, is a much better content creator than Pewdiepie and he's not that famous. I don't really understand why so many people subscribe to Pewdiepie, he's no different than any other gamer, I suppose. I understand that smosh had time to 'collect' subscribers and Jenna Marbles, in my opinion - just deserves them. Other top channels are to be discussed, I mean - who's this guy? HolaSoyGerman *look it up*

So, I guess justice will come to those who are good content creators and persistent, and about Pewdiepie... Well done, nice job and whatnot. :)
 
Even if a lot of people are complaining about him just play video games, he's obviously doing something right to be #1 on YouTube.

Running charities, moving to different countries, churning out videos that appeal mostly to the lowest common denominator, a YouTube hit squad, *ahem* I mean, "bro army" that attacks any perceived criticisms, and just being a tool. Yeah, you could say that, but wouldn't recommend it though.
 
Just shows the general trend YT is unfortunately in right now, gaming and lets play vids.

Personally I think the more talented people should have more subs, such as MysteryGuitarMan, Rhett and Link, FinalCutKing, WeezyWaiter, those people are the real stars of YouTube, to me, most gaming channels don't count as creative and talented, I could sit around and play videos games too, anyone could, it takes real talent to do what some of these people on YT do.
 
Honestly... Its kinda of a shame...
I use to watch him back when he had like 100,000 Subscribers... he wasn't even that funny...

I think he deserves it, He's done a lot for charity as well whereas smosh has asked their fans for $250,000 to create a iphone game. Smosh does it for money whereas pewdie does it for fun.
 
I think he deserves it, yeah there might be other people that deserve that title as well. But honestly he handles it really good. And idk if i could say the same about other people. He takes his fame and doesn't let it get to his head. Some people wouldn't be able too take all that publicity. He's hilarious and never really fails too impress.
