No longer getting any new subs

hi everyone so I've been on YouTube for a about a month now, uploading every weekend. During this time I've manage to gain 20 subs. which i'm absolutely stoked about don't get me wrong. But I've have noticed that i haven't gain any new subscribers during the last two weeks. I haven't loss any subscribers and the comments have been positive. Is this normal for a small channel or am i doing something wrong.

would love to hear what you think. Does this happen to you?

I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep going! I had a dry period a few weeks back but then suddenly gained another 4 within the space of a few days :) talk to other YouTuber's who are on the same level as you and do some collab's :) that helps!

Im in the same funk atm dude! I gained 200 subs in just over a month and now i cant seem to gain just 1! From what i read this is all to be expected with the ups and downs! Just keep motivated and they will soon be flowing again!

It also depends on how you got your subs.

If you have invited your friends and family to sub then they've probably done that. If your videos keep on bouncing within this group that they won't get "out there".

Keep promoting your vids in the correct communities, websites and all that good stuff. You'll be fine! :D

Yes it really happens.. :) me I also get stuck in 140 and it really is hard to gain subs.. Sometimes when I'm in facebook I can get 20 per day.. Sometimes in twitter 1-5 per day.. Sometimes in yttalk 1-5 per day.. But it's not consistent.. :) sometimes there's none.. Hehe.. It's really hard to gain subs and views especially if you're just starting.. If I want views I will post my new vids in fb or in reddit.. It will gain lots when I post there.. :)

Yup, what everyone is saying. Don't freak out just yet...a month is enough to get your friends and family to watch and subscribe, and then you'll start showing up in search results or you can promote yourself on your various social platforms, etc. It's all about putting together good videos, marketing them well, and being consistent.

Yeah, in the last year I've barely got 100 new subs but most recently I gained a whole bunch of new ones because I upped my networking. Not saying you personally but one reason why people have dry patches does depend on their networking habits. You can be consistent on making videos and be a good content creator but what some forget is you need to be a good viewer too. I'm now checking my sub box daily and leaving comments and likes with those who i enjoy...mostly smaller youtubers as they appreciate my interactions far more than the big youtubers who would hardly notice. Doing this brings youtubers to my page and I get comments and likes which has helped me grow.

Also looking for new small youtubers to watch is something I love, again finding them, saying hi, watching and interacting with their new videos when they upload them. Doing this has brought me new peeps to my channel and they seem to return consistently when i upload something new which I cherish but I'm always a real person when leaving comments as I don't do the whole "you're channel is amazing and I've subbed, come and sub to mine please!" That is the worst thing you can do.

Another thing I do is when I'm waiting for my new video to upload I reply to comments on my videos if i haven't already done so and go to their channels to see if they have uploaded anything new which may have not appeared in my sub box and leave comments. Doing this helps me build a relationship with other youtubers and helps me have consistent likes, comments and new subs coming in. I do get the occasional dislike but they are also good for your videos despite most people thinking they are bad. I'm sorry for waffling on but I hope this helps.

I'm not gonna quote the entire thing but I agree with everything! :D

I've been active for only 2 and a half months, YouTube doesn't put me in search/suggested yet(?!) and the moment I stop promoting the views/subs stop. I get the most subs from this forum and whenever I leave comments on other small YouTuber's videos (although that also attracts a lot of sub4sub people that I don't want )

It's happened to me a lot over the last few years on this channel. I was stuck in the 20's for a very long time. Only just this year, I managed to get out of that, into the 50's. Keep going :)
