I would use lightworks! Simple and free, search up tutorials for better usage

Hey, if you haven't already I would post on Reddit about this sort of stuff as well.

Back when I was newer at video editing I did that and found a cool group of guys I don't work with anymore but still talk to. You may find people willing to give some tutorials as well.
