As long as the "cards" don't classify as an annotation, even if someone has annotations off they should still display, so pointing to it may be pointless. s**t nevermind I just literally tried it now, turned off annotations and the (i) disappeared too, that's kind of annoying. It's so unobtrusive why remove it at all xD[DOUBLEPOST=1426670986,1426670545][/DOUBLEPOST]
My guess is maybe 6-12months assuming YouTube don't focus on too many (unnecessary) projects/updates. If they do then 1-3yrs but I'd imagine (and hope) with the good reception Cards has had so far, YouTube would be logical enough to focus on getting it updated as fast as possible. It would take some time to apply the same algorithm from annotations to the cards, with a lot of trial and error and then beta testing before though. Cards were originally restricted to certain business type channels, so the feature had been around for a while just not available to everyone, unless I'm mistaking it with another feature that looked similar :S because I only recalled yesterday after checking my vid with a card on it, that the little (i) looked very familiar to me and I had seen similar things on mostly corporate channels prior.[DOUBLEPOST=1426671134][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh s**t... if they switch annotations over to cards then what happens to everyone who's used annotations in their outros? I hope they at leave have the sense to leave them alone and there because I don't want to have to go through 300-500 videos across 2 different channels and redo it all.Now that makes more sense![DOUBLEPOST=1426596232,1426596105][/DOUBLEPOST]
That is great news! I wonder how long that will take..
the difference with annotation is you have access to "branding" because its a direct link and it shows the thumbnails etc.
