I think we're seeing the first generation raised on YouTube starting to flex their muscles!

Keep in mind that more and more media companies are hiring professional or semi-professional actors and starting YouTube channels. It is just very lucrative business that's all.

i am seeing a rise in new youtubers with great equipment, 0_0, makes me wonder, if like they lurked for a while and then went "Today is the day", or they just got up one morning saw youtube and went "YUP, youtuber now", or maybe they have rich parents, i dont know the logistics of it but damn, some great short film makers, vloggers, gamers, sprouting up out of nowhere, it's really a fantastic thing to witness really.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think it's great that YouTube as a career is becoming more mainstream which normalizes it to society for people to begin to start qualifying it as a "Real Job". On the other hand I feel that it's making it a little more difficult to break out given the fact that so many people are turning to YouTube now a days. I confess I am one of those YouTubers who was lurking on the DL for a while and one day I was like I need to just try it since it's something I wanted to try forever lmao.
