New Youtubers

I'm not sure what the origins of those people are, but a lot of the people who have awesome equipment that are "new" aren't actually new, from my experience.
 
I had been into keeping home videos before I decided to vlog them and upload them and had gotten a pretty nice camera as a gift, so that's where I started.

I think that nicer quality equipment is just easier to come by now, more common ya know?
 
I made sure I had a good camera before posting my 1st video... didn't help much... i still don't have a lot of subscribers lol
 
I started with a 1080p camera and uploaded in 720p right from the start. I then adopted 1080p and never looked back. Before that I lurked, had the name locked in and everything. Then it is as you said... I just started making videos. And the rest is history.

When I started my family had a video camera that they used to video tape my brother's football games, so I just used that until I saved enough money to get a DSLR but it took forever

p.s. HOW IS THE LIGHTING ON YOUR VIDEOS SO GOOD
 
I definitely see this trend. But the vast majority still use their cell phone cameras starting out while filming the wrong way!
 
I believe new You Tube creators have watched so may videos on equipment needed to start their channel. I think its a good thing because creators want to promote themselves in a professional manner.
