More Subs or Views? Which one do you care the most?

I understand that both (Subs and Views) are important to make a channel grow. However, I have this feeling of accomplishment every time I see the number of views on my dashboard. My most viewed video has over 30k+, so the fact that my content can have that much reach amazes me every time. So what I'm trying to say is I care more about my views than getting subscribers. Here's why:

-Getting views is much easier than getting users to subscribe.
-More views could mean a better position in algorithm.
-I can mention that high viewing volume for business purposes (Portfolio, resumes, collabos, etc)

Also, views can't be taken away during YT auditing period (as far as I know)

What do you guys think?

I'm at 2k subs but for the past three months I have gotten over 60k views channel wide :/ it really is tough making them stay but at the end views I think are more important since your video gets more eyes from potential subscribers.

Ultimately the goal is more views, however this tends to come by way of more subs. More subs means (likely) more views when a video first releases. More initial views means higher ranking in search (assuming you have done your SEO properly) which means more more views from the YT machine which should also translate into more subscribers. Its cyclical.

I'll put it this way, anyone who watches my videos chose to, among all the others they could have watched instead. I'm just glad that it's worth someone's time, irrespective of subs or view counts.

This. I wanted to write a huge story about my whole life but you just hit the nail on the head in 4 lines.

At this point, you either need to be really popular, a marketing guru, or create a completely original idea to win the SEO battle these days. If it's easy for you, great. For me, I prefer doing the best I can and building an audience by the merit of my content, backed up by networking and meeting new people. If people want to share it, that's great. It shows it's worth sharing.

If you look at my ratio, it's pretty obvious that I don't give too much of a s**t about subscriber count vs. views.

Views. A sub doesn't guarantee they will watch anything, but of course we hope they will. I've seen channels with more subs than overall views and many channels with say 1000 subs and each video has only 200-400 views.
