Yes, same here. My traffic from main YouTube is 1/7th of what it was before July 11. YouTube Kids is about the same, but is so little compare to what the main platform was. It really does look like they are limiting kids content on regular YouTube.

Yep, my one channel with Peppa stuff is now down from 5-10K a day to 500.
My other kids channel (vampirina) is just music parodies and fun stuff, not monetized. Hasn't been affected at all.

Other 2 adult channels are not affected.

Reddit has a few posts about this. Fyi

My channel is by no means kid friendly, but has dropped off a good 25-30% over the past 6 months. I also have noticed I am having a hard time finding my favorite Youtubers (who are also not kid friendly) unless it is something brand new they released. They seem to be filtering out the ones with violence, swearing and sexiness.

Is this what it comes to now? Why bother Youtubing if they are going to backend censor videos... they can claim they are NOT censoring, but they actually are with their feed / search algorithm. Its shady as hell and cowardly.

My apologies if I am off topic a bit, but am very disappointed in this. Just my 2 cents.

so youtube's algorithm can now detect visual objects. So if you put in tags micky mouse but your cartoon is about fire trucks it will know you are lying and not promote your video.

There are still major changes coming. Youtube will need to institute two changes. First, they will need to allow content creators the ability to designate kids content instead of relying on an algorithm. Second, they will need to create an age wall for all viewers not logged into a youtube account. They will have to treat kids content completely separate from regular content. Youtube will need to move away from algorithms for kids content and use more manual review. This means only a handful of channels can survive. Youtube knows the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior.

this will never happen except in your dreams. Content will always be driven by the algorithms
