Mac or PC?

I am a mac user, and love it, there is more software for professionals on the mac platform as well, such as Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, and others...

I also run the Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium Suite and love it, great software!

as far as which one to get, that depends on your price range and how heavy duty your editing will be, the iMacs are a great bet, far less expensive than a mac pro and still gives you great power!

There is more software for professionals? You named 3.
Like I said before, if you bought an ultrabook for the same price as a Mac Pro, you get much more power.

There's not much of a competiton. Ofcourse get a PC. It's cheaper, better and has alot of more programs for video editing.

I said "Such as" meaning, "To name a few", this guy didn't start this thread for a fan war, he wants to know which he should get.

also, you would really think a laptop would give you more power than a Mac Pro? production studios don't edit on laptops for a reason, they can't compete with Towers or Desktops when it comes to power.

Go for PC! It's just as good as a mac (if you get an intel icore 7) and it's cheaper. Macs are way too overpriced.

I will chose a PC over a MAC any day. I can customize my PC (hardware & software). I can get the keyboards I want. Hell... even a mouse.
I can get a cheap PC or a BEAST of PC.

Go for the PC, it's not that hard to build one yourself.

but dat pricing, I say you should only get a mac If you have an extra 2k to burn on the computer you want, but then again I'm running a hackintosh w/ Win7 ultimate On my Labtop... best of both worlds :D
