Mac or PC?

I've used both and when it comes to editing videos, music or that stuff if you can afford it I'd go with a Mac. PC's are good but as it was mentioned you'll need ( should ) get at least i7 4-8g of ram and software, Sony Vegas and such are good.

Whatever you can afford :D

Russ my friend, you have picked an extremely bad article to help your case, and it's 4 years old too, try harder next time and don't just type "Why R macs bettur then windows" in google and pick the first article you see.
 
Let's take a breather and put it like this.

A Mac is like a tricycle and a PC is like a motorbike
Mac comes in one colour
Mac can only handle roads made for it (about 1%)
It goes up to a certain limited speed
It use complicated parts that no one else uses.
Is made simple for those who are too:
a. young
b. dumb
or c. lazy
to learn how to ride a motorbike

A PC is like a motorbike

It can go as fast as you want it to go.
You customize how it looks to your own appeal.
You can upgrade it at anytime instead of buying a new bike.
It can handle 99% of roads in the world.
It may take a while to learn how to use it, but when you do, you can outpace the little tricycle.

Macboys always say that Mac is faster. Faster than what? There are a million different types of laptops/ultrabooks that use Windows.
So Danomitism. back to your question, its PC.
The best Macbook Pro is about $3800 maybe.
It has an i7 Quad core, 16GB RAM, 750GB flash storage, 1GB Nvidia Graphics Card and a good HD display.
At amazon you can get
i7 6core, 32GB RAM, 250GB SSD, 2TB Hard drive, 3GB AMD Graphics Card and a HP Full HD display, all for $2200

It is up to you, but PC is way cheaper, faster and better for rendering. You get a wider variety of programs. Adobe, Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas etc
 
Mac all the way. If you're editing music and videos, Mac is the only computer you need to make your stuff great. I have a Macbook Pro and an iMac and they both work perfectly fine with editing video and music. When I had my PC it would freeze all the time and not work because it can't handle editing like a Mac does. That's without pointing out the fact that the best software to edit videos out there is Final Cut Pro and you can only use that on a mac. So my advice: Use PC= Make sucky videos and lose all your stuff when the PC freezes. Use Mac= Achieve greatness. :)

The only reason your PC would freeze is if you bought a cheap one with thought on what parts come with it, or you installed crap on it.

this, the only way a PC gets slow is if you're an idiot and fill it with crap, my labtop has a 25 sec. boot time, an i7 processor, 8gb of ram, a Nvidya Geforce 640m, 2x1 TB HDD, and it could run circles around a Mac Labtop because I can overclock my hardware to gaming PC levels if I need to unlike a Mac labtop. and when my PC eventually becomes obsolete I don't have to buy a brand new Labtop like any Mac user, I just have to upgrade what's obsolete and continue with all my previous data like nothing changed.
 
Finally someone with brains! My boot time on my PC is 20 sec tops...the magic of SSD...something Mac will never get
 
Oh let me get this straight, if I prefer mac over PC I am an idiot who doesn't know s**t about technology and fill my computers with crap? Here's my advice: Don't offend people when they have different opinion than yours. I prefer mac because it has worked better for me and I like the operating system more. It is better FOR ME. I'm not forcing anyone to buy one, I'm just saying how PCs have worked for me and how I prefer Macs better, that is all. Don't insult me, you don't know me.

stop twisting our words, I never said that Mac users are idiots, or that they fill their PCs with crap, I said that people who don't use Windows or Linux generally have less know-how around computersvs. those who do, and that only a complete idiot will fill up their computers with crap, thus making the computer slower than optimal quality.

Try harder, you're just grasping at straws now.
