Large subscriber boost!?

My subscriber count has been jumping up and down by around 20 subscribers for a while now. You definitely gained subscribers but that could be YouTube being slow.
 
It could be that someone has gave you a shoutout or shared you content and therefore their viewers have checked you out, but its most likely just that your putting out good content!

Yeah, possibly. Unless YouTube have a thing to stop email spam if a load of people subscribe? I've heard of inboxes crashing from loads of emails when people get an influx of new followers on Twitter for example, so maybe they've found a way to combat that. Unlikely, but possible.
 
For me, these little bursts usually happen after I share a video on a subreddit or something of the sorts and it gets a good amount of attention that people come to it :) Congratulations on breaking 50 btw dude
