Instagram

Being a food/cooking channel, Instagram is a STRONG source of traffic for me. Put a link to your channel trailer or similar video in your profile text and when you post, just end with “link to video in profile.” I hate Instagram, but in the food game at least, it’s essential.

I honestly thought Instagram would help to build subscribers on Youtube, but it has only brought 3 subscribers. Probably it takes time to build that kind of platform on Instagram. The link works in the bio, but the problem is persuading people to subscribe.

I have a weird problem with Instagram.
I launched my channel and Instagram about a week ago. My channel only has 1 subscriber but on instagram I already have over 50 people following me.
I don’t think the people following me on Instagram have any interest in my channel, I think They’re just interested in photos of dogs.
I need to find a way to attract the right audience on Instagram to promote my channel too.

I've started posting small snipets or previews on instagram stories. Its another way of explaining what your video is about.

Yeah, this is a good idea. And make sure to leave the link to your youtube page in the BIO part of Instagram, then it will be clickable so if you have some interesting picture or short video then maybe some people will go to the bio page and click that link and go subscribe. The problem is that even that link is then opening in the browser and not youtube, so they need to sign in again, which I believe very few people do.
