i7 3770k, Enough for Recording? Rendering?

Oh hell no! That setup is amazing I must say but I personally would've went with a 3930k (or wait for haswell 2011 cpus) and a GTX780 instead[DOUBLEPOST=1371289556,1371289503][/DOUBLEPOST]
I know this will sound noobish but can someone tell me the meaning of fraps? is it like frames per second or something?

It's a video game benchmarking and recording program for pc :) It can also be used to show an FPS counter in the corner of your screen

FRAPS is a Screen capture program used for recording PC games, type "FRAPS" into google to see the actual website

Thankyou both very much! :D

I'm using the 3770k, but I have it overclocked to 40. It's working fine recording with the Elgato (BO2 mainly) I'm not recording PC though, I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

The 780 is a bastardized Titan, titan is a better choice ^^.

I disagree, 780 is significantly cheaper than Titan and slightly overclocked in games will match and beat the Titan easily, look at this review to see where im getting my info from
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/61310-nvidia-geforce-gtx-780-review-7.html

I've seen other reviews (more than one) that say the opposite, bottom of the line is the 69o is the best choice as it is also cheaper. It will outperform the titan in some areas but not all

Absolutely when it comes to 690 vs Titan the 690 wins hands down even though it is dual GPU, has higher TDP and might cause some micro-shutter. I think Titan was an Nvidia experiment to see how the market would respond and seeing the results most of the enthusiasts like the Titan despite the 690 outperforming it in every task and costing about the same.
