I need to vent.

I'm really frustrated. ?
I created a thread about this recently with a screenshot, which is BLANTENTLY OBVIOUSLY just the person making tow fake accounts!! Let me see if I can find the screen shot
Found it!

I hate this so much. So much...

It's painful to scroll down on a big youtubers video to look at comments and its completely filled with "love it" or a realy short comment like that, al at the top because they're either got a fake account to reply to them or they have litterally REPLIED TO THEMSELVES on their own account like
"Haha, omg, love this!"
-- "Its so funny!"

same person..

Please, Stop! Idk, maybe its something to do with younger people on youtube? But I've seen plenty of people my age and older doing this kind of stuff... I feel so annoyed because I'm trying to GENUINELY get subs by just posting videos ect yet some people with the same quality as me has 2k subs because they're obnoxious on someone elses video.. hmm..

Why are you guys even bothering with this stuff? Of course it's lame, of course it's ridiculous, but why bother? When you see it, just roll your eyes and go on.
That's only temporary boost, empty subs, nothing gained... Content will prevail.
Agreed, I hate seeing this stuff in the comments of other videos. And it just seems like a lot of work for little payoff these days anyway. Most viewers are smart enough to know spam when they see it and most likely avoid it anyway. But even if the person ends up getting subscribers, down the line this same person will ask why people aren't watching their videos even though they have a high sub count. :Blackalien2:

The thing is that it's not "temporary gain" or "empty subs". They are gaining thousands of real people that want to watch their videos. I've seen someone gain 20k subs in half a year using this method. It's frustrating to put in hard work to gain subs and see someone else spam and leech off of others and see more progress.

Honestly I'm just hoping that their lack of quality in their content will end up stunting their channel growth. Because again, it's really frustrating. Not to mention the people that do this tactic are so fake to their viewers and seem to take them for granted.

99 out of 100 do lack the quality. But there are channels who actually have allright content and people stick to them.... They slightly boost the growth of their channel this way :)

I know it's lame and stupid and all, but it works and the consequences are nought, so people keep doing that.

Of course, some guys will succeed. It's the same with many things in life when people cheat. There's nothing you could really do. I mean, technically there is, but you shouldn't bother. Your energy should be spend elsewhere (making good videos f.e. :D)

As someone who used to comment a lot on Youtube, it is pretty annoying that these people are ruining the comment section by having their boring / generic comments at the top constantly.

Especially because it is always the same 4-8 people and everyone knows they are cheating. Really should not be too hard to ban them.

I see it happen, and yeah it's a little annoying, but at the end of the day, they're just trying to get noticed.

We're all trying to get noticed. Can't fault them for finding a way to get noticed...

I totally understand that! But as @VictoriaFlamel said above, it's annoying seeing the same 4-8 people with painfully generic comments at the top ALL OF THE TIME and when I check their videos, they hardly put effort in. It's just frustrating.

I feel like people have the "noticemesenpai" method to posting on big YouTube channels and I understand everyone frustration when it comes to that. I wish that YouTube could make it so you couldn't try to promote your channel on another person's channel without their permission but then again they would get the spam in notification.

So it is a toss in the air what we can do. For now I just shake my head and enjoy the video ignoring those 'fake' accounts.
