You didn't have the rights to upload the content. Just because Joe Blow says that he owns the video, that legally isn't enough to transfer the rights to you.

i think it is you that is not understanding... i can easily download a youtube video that does not belong to me and submit it to you.... neither you or me have copyright authorization... i can say to you that i have authorization, but that is a lie, you are just taking my word as true.

Well Fail Army is not a good example, I'm pretty sure that channel is owned by Jukin Media which must be one of the biggest licensees of viral/ funny/ fail clips, that's pretty much their whole business model.
With those other large channels, they probably get the licenses from the likes of Jukin Media/ Viral Spiral/ Collab/ Rumble etc

I do can confirm it. Furthermore if Google detects an issue with revenue, as I know, they can deduct not only 20$, but the full sum - 100$. So this is a reason why MCNs pays such earnings with a big delay (60 days, for instance), or they don't pay it at all.

Networks do get the funds that were intended for the terminated channels but as Shane stated, Google may get those funds back.
