How were your first few months?

Yeah I need to get a Mic :/ and thank you I'll check up on it!
See this is why I made this post, its the little tips and stories that make it worth it :)
You can download a plugin for Audacity which lets you drag in your videos and it will import your audio from your video.
Send me a message if you want the link, I'm not allowed to post the link here.

And when you're done editing the audio you basically just export it and when you edit the video you can remove the default sound and replace it with the mastered sound.
If you want the plugin search for ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe (Download it from Audacitys FAQ page.)

Hopefully I could help!

Regards
Kevin

Same with me right now, its slow but its more of a hobby so I just enjoy the process!
For me it's a lot more than a hobby, it's something I wanted to do for a long... long time, but always had problems which prevented it, now I'm enjoying myself pursuing a passion and giving it my 100% and every day try for at least an extra 1% of improvement...

So for the 4 channels i did in my youtube lifetime it was always a really slow growth with 31 subs after 1 1/2 month being the best "achievement". I always lost the motivation after 2 month because i had no feedback, no interaction and no real growth. It felt like talking to a wall.
Now with this channel i have higher quality videos, more "mature" content (before there was only badly made gaming stuff) and a sharing strategy (reddit). I know how tags are valuable and that i need to keep the viewer engaged.
I got ~1170 views in 2 weels (one video is private) and my every new video gets 50 views more then the last one. Currently i have 15 subscribers, growing by 4-5 with each new video. Within 2 weeks i have reached more then in 2 months with all my other channels. So i couldn´t be more happy.

Our channel's first few months were unique. We got lucky with a viral (million+ views) video our first upload and, I think because of that, YouTube gave our channel some clout which made future uploads stick a little easier.

My story is a weird one...
I started last year May and that first video got 400 views, but I stopped there until this August. I wasn't proud of that video, but it got more than double the views of my other videos.

it took 3.5 months to reach 100 subs, but in the early days I was able to befriend a few people who helped get videos out there in front of more eyes and now 9 months in, I am up to 800 subs and now at the point of having 400-500 views a day consistently. It was exciting the first few times new videos would get hot, and deflating when the next one would not perform as well as the one that came before, which happens.

I started Mid March. I was able to hit 1,000 subs in 4 months, with one of those months I took off. I'm now on my 8th month after just taking 2 months off and I'm at 3900 subs. There was a point at my 6th month when I hit 1,500 that the snowball took into effect. It's crazy when it happens and I'm kicking myself for slacking those 2 months (although I did suffer a break up so I thought I needed some time off). But I also can't believe how much my channel almost doubled in 2 months literally doing nothing...
