So, a good friend of mine is going to give me a shoutout on their twitter page. They have 6000 legitimate followers, each tweet gets up to 300 likes and they get over 100,000 tweet impressions monthly. They are giving my YT channel a shoutout on their tweets for 1 month. How many subsribers do you think I will gain from the shoutuout? Im just wondering..

EDIT: Yes, I did put TY instead of YT...

Depends on what they say, what time they say it at and so on. With those stats though you should get a nice bit of exposure and see a gain in subs, good luck with it bud :)

That's awesome i'm sure you'll get a number of subscribers, good luck hope you get some growth. Side note, may have to buy this person a cake to get a piece of that action lol.

It will get you exposure to your channel and some views on your trailer definitely but as for new subscribers it will depend if the person likes what your channel is about. Nothing is guaranteed.

if your channel is similar to their content then maybe you'll get a few. i got shouted out by a 500k + channel with very similar content, and only got about 30 subs more than usual that day, so i dont think they do crazy wonders, but you might get lucky :)

I don't believe in shoutouts unless they come from PewDiePie lol
But who knows. Maybe it will work out great for you. :p

Well, this is how jacksepticeye got bumped into youtube stardom.

But a shoutout on twitter...I'm not sure. It'll never hurt at the very least :)

All depends on what he says about you lol he can break you just as quick as he can make you with that large a following.

Shout outs are good but better when their earned. Yeah you can bug and poke at someone to give you a shout out but, meh you seem kind of desperate that way compared to grinding out, getting recognition for your videos and the effort you put in and getting a shout out for that? That to me is a real shout out.

What if he and you promise all these things, send that traffic and you don't/can't live up to the expectations?

Hello there!

Lately, I have received 2 shoutouts. I was really happy to receive on of them, while the other... not as much. The first one was given to me for being the "Best Youtuber" of the week, who is subscribed to someone. It got me good people, who did not ask for sub4subs and did not just ask me to check their channel. I was happy, I thought, and still think, that it actually made people check out my channel.

However, in my second shoutout, it was one of those normal "Sub to me, sub to the guy who got shouted out" type of... well shoutout. My sub count increased from like... 55 to 65 or something. However, the amount of sub4sub, check my channel out and all those types of comments suddenly flooded my channel. About 3-5 comments of that type got slammed over my channel after the shoutout with a day or two. I am not really impressed as I really doubt that any of these people is really interested in my channel. They probably just came to watch the first 5 seconds of my videos, say how good they are and then just go to the next one. Also, I did not wait like a month for that shoutout because it would be a complete waste of time. I got a shoutout after like... 2 days of checking the shoutout'ers channel.

In conclusion, what do you guys think? Help me make up my mind with this. Are shoutouts good? Or are they just another method like sub4subs to increase your sub count, but leave you with a dozen of inactive subs? Does it depends on the type of shoutout or are all shoutouts the same in your opinion? Do you think I should continue in shoutout series or do I avoid any as much as possible? I would love to hear your thoughts!
