How to promote your videos

Reddit is a clusterfuck, but it works for me. lol if you post in the right subreddit you will get a good amount of views. I need to build up my karma so I can post my speed paintings in the 'Video' subreddit.

Twitter is hit or miss. It's fantastic if you have a good amount of people following you (I don't). Your followers will retweet your videos, allowing many more people who didn't know about you to see your content. If you're lucky, someone with a huge following will retweet you and you'll gain some subs and a few thousand views. This happened with two of my speed paintings.

Google+ is ok. It depends on the community though. Some want to watch your content and some don't. They're more into looking at pictures and gifs.

I didn't have patience for Facebook.

yh i feel bad for using reddit only for promoting my videos but it gets the job done(most videos gain 100 views)! the problem with twitter is that most followers could be follow for follow so even if a person with 20k followers retweet your videos only like 2 people will actually watch the video, you get more views from the hashtags and also apparently you can buy "followers" google plus is ok but i only see a gain in 10 views.

Because twitter is not for a spammers, If you are interested for other people they will mark your account(star button) and they will get notification when you post something, I follow 700 people or more and my feed looks like matrix code this is why I stopped to use that. Good advice: don't follow people if you are not really interested, don't spam and don't connect your facebook account with twitter.

For me, reddit has not been that successful. I am a gaming channel and we have not had that many good results from reddit. I think it may be because we need to produce better content.

that or try posting in certain game subreddits e.g. a vid on clash of clans post it ot the clash of clans subreddit if its batman post it to batman subreddit. and the bigger the subreddit the less likely it'll be viewed unless the content is good enough.
