How much money do you put into your Youtube channel? (Priority Question)

If I could, I would definitely dump loads of money into my videos. I feel like if I had the right equipment, i would feel more inclined to MAKE videos.
On the other hand, if you're not like me and that doesn't control your emotional state (yay), then I would say focus on the part that matters most to you. You say your studio is most important. If you're making music, and music is what you do YouTube for, then OBVIOUSLY focus on music! If you have good looking video but your music, the most important part, is bad, then you're not going to grow the following. Video quality can be forgiven if the core content is up to par with what you're trying to get across.
 
Camera, light, other gear, tutorials, advertising etc. It's definitely more then $1000 right now but I don't know exactly.

I see it as an investment so I keep investing :)
 
Probably close to $200 for microphones and gamecapture devices.

As a gaming channel, though, i' m not sure if youd count the price of games? I mean, afterall, theyre mostly for personal enjoyment. The filming is more of a bonus.
 
I don't put a lot of money from my pocket in my channel. I use reward programs to earn extra cash for my channel to save money. So far I've spent over $200 from Quick Rewards into my channel. My actual paycheck from work has only put in $45 this year.
 
Well I had most of what I needed to record. The one main thing I bought for my channel was this yeti mic. But idk I probably would have gotten that eventually anyways. And the video games I buy I probably would have bought anyways as well. So it works out.
 
We don't spend anything extra for the channel unless we doing a taste test or blind bag openings. The majority of the stuff we review is stuff we got for free. :)

Id include my editing computer but I purchased it for both YT and gaming so I don't think it counts, but I spent 3k on it.

I would of had to spend more for video editing software, but I lucked out and won a twitter giveaway for a full license for sony vegas pro.

Yea the monthly cost I'm covering with what I'm making back, which is nice. If I start to make more I'll probably find a way to invest it back in.
