how do you react to "HEY I SAW YOUR VIDEOS"

and sometimes when people talk about my channel and other people hear it they react with
"You have a youtube channel?" followed by meaningful laugh. LIKE DAFQ DOES THAT MEAN U WANNA FIGHT
but i just brush it off and tell them whatever cause I am girl trying to live her dream lol

lol I usually overthink when people say that and then get a little nervous not knowing exactly which video they watched, for all I know they could've binged my whole channel and for some reason the idea of that makes me feel uncomfortable cuz i feel like they now know my inner true being, they know me on a deeper level now because on my channel I'm myself, crazy, weird and funny. But I just feel that way when people in my class see my channel because in my class im known as that quite girl in class so when they see my video's they usually are thrown off guard by this personality I don't show much in class because I'm the new girl.
 
I don't. Because I didn't let anyone irl know about my channel. Most of the people would laugh at me when they'd would realize I don't even have 1k subs.
 
Honestly, we don't really get too involved with comments like that. If people mention our channel, we says thanks for watching of course, but not much more than that! Idk we are kind of awkward as well so probably not the best ones to give advice.
 
"That's so embarrasing... haha thanks" is my general. Only 2 of my friends know about my channel and I haven't told my family, but sometimes my friends' friends have approached me and saidd they watch my stuff. Super awkward. I'm insecure about my channel, in highschool some people found my old channel and when one of them texted me about it I immediately made all the videos private haha.
 
I did receive that several times when I post on another video and my fans or subs tend to have similar interests.

All I would do is to say, "Thanks for your support". Both sides happy :D
 
When people recognize me in public I'm like "...yes that's me o.O" and then I try to figure out something to say. xD

When ppl say they've seen my videos my reaction every time is a quick flick of the wrist into a peace sign, followed by a "ur welcome".
 
I get it sometimes. Because I have so many videos I do sometimes forget some of them I have made in the past so when someone is like "I like that one where you find the gateway to Narnia" and I don't remember which one it is I then will later go through my videos to see which one they are referring to.

I'm very open with everyone knowing about my videos! All my friends, family, work and all those people living in Narnia. I also have the habit of being in conversation with friends and sometimes we will have conversations about random topics which funnily enough, I may have covered in past videos (the ones of which I remember I have made!) and I'll reply with that annoying line "you know, I've actually made a video about this!" like I'm some kind of expert!
 
Iv only ever been hit with the likes of this I think maybe twice in my entire 4-5 years of doing YouTube.

I was once spotted in a DVD store at the nearest town from me which is about an hour and a half drive away (I live in Ireland).

Was chilling looking at all the new releases coming to the consoles when someone tapped me on my shoulder and asked if I was who I was.

I complete and utter shock that is random person who I have never seen before nor had I any previous communication or exchange of conversation with this person.

They stopped me and asked "Are you Cathal MacCorraidh", to which I replied "Yes I am, who's asking?"

They then went on to tell me how they watched some of my videos, that they enjoyed them and that I made them laugh and that they thought it was funny they were watching my videos a day before hand.

It was a surreal experience and the entire conversation was as uncomfortable as youd imagine.

As nice as it was to get recognized and couldn't see myself being in the eye of the public too much if I were to ever get big :P
 
I always say "Cool that you saw them, what do you think about it? And do you have any feedback?"
