YES! I'll just focus on that. I enjoy doing what I do, and that is what makes me happy at the end of the dayI feel the same way quite often. I've been making videos regularly for about a year and a half now and still haven't broken the 100 subscriber mark. It can be pretty discouraging when your favourite part is the interaction and talking to people, and no one interacts at all. But at the end of the day, I try to tell myself that I make the videos because it's something I enjoy and they make me laugh. And as someone who used to be incredibly shy, putting myself out there is a big thing for me. So, keep in there and enjoy what it is you do!

Thank you! yes, I'm gonna do more trendy characters!!I'm sure channels bigger and smaller than you feel this same way at times. You panicked a little when you jokingly said maybe you make bad videos, and then said please don't watch. Here's my 2 cents and take it for what it is. This forum seems really supportive. Maybe drop some of your best videos or the videos that you like the best in the review forums, and get some constructive feedback on improvements. I am not a makeup tutorial guy, so I don't know how these channels work, but I am sure there are other members on this forum who are fans of the style or who produce similar content. It helps to take a step back and have someone else look at your work, but I know how scary that can be.
But you've got some great advice here. Post questions in your videos or comments feed when you upload. Put a direct question in your call to action at the end. Make the call to action longer. Maybe something like .... "Leave a comment on what style I should do next." Leave the call to action up for a little longer than you currently do. Let people take it in. Subscribers sometimes need clear focused directions on what you want them to do.
Also like other people already suggested, try looking toward pop trends like star wars characters.... or the avengers movie just came out, what about a Black Widow and/or Scarlet Witch tutorial?

hahaa yes I guess Rocky does motivates a lot... I haven't watched that film in ages![DOUBLEPOST=1430694756][/DOUBLEPOST]First off the only reason I post videos is because I have a passion for my channel no matter what anybody thinks. If it does well great. If it bombs oh well I am still doing it because I enjoy it. Life is too short to force yourself to do things you do not have a passion for and usually if you do things you have a passion for they work out if they are meant to be the way you need them to in most cases. On the other hand I get a lot of trolls/threats/hatemail etc and that can get a little unnerving at times but I do not let it get to me.
On a side note if I really feel that down and out the best solution to refill motivation for yourself is to watch your favorite youtubers for more inspiration, or watch other youtubers with a large community around them with very low quality content to reassure you that anybody has a chance out there to make it. My last resort is to watch the Rocky series or at least the montages. Doesn't Rocky pretty much motivate anyone on the planet when needed?
That is what it's all about... I need a little reminder sometimesi can totally understand where you are coming from..i mean since 2013 we've been just sitting at 340 subs not growing at all..and seeing that does kinda discourage you. but then i remember why i started making videos.. its because film making is something i love to do. if others decide to join us on the journey then that is awesome and makes us work harder. if not then thats ok we'll take our time and keep doing what we love to do!
