How do you keep yourself from giving up?

Make a change , if something not working in life it gets fixed. Use that in your channel , im not saying your broken im just stating that after such a long period perhaps you should do some research. Watch a few of your videos back , then watch other people in your area of expertise. What makes there channel more appealing , do they do something special ? I refer to it as videos going into the "abyss". Ya know, you post it, get a few views and then it disappears forever! Happens to all of us. You're not the only one. My channel revolves around my daughter. She loves making the videos and watching them which makes me happy. I just try to enjoy the process and if "success" happens that's great. If not, I still had fun making and watching the videos. Good luck with your channel. Hope it picks up for you!
 
Dont be discouraged, at the end of the day, things get better and you will have felt better. My advice is dont focus on numbers. Just do it because you love it, and the audience is just a bonus. :)
 
I would recommend you to take a little break from yt to evaluate what you can do better and how you can promote your channel in a better way, but come back! I know it can be frustrating.
 
I too have a small channel (under 100 subs). I've had my channel nearly a year and a half, so know it can be difficult to grow a channel. I never had the feeling I want a quit because the slow growth, my biggest issue is with myself. I never upload often enough, because I want to put out good content and I never seem to be creative enough to think of new, good ideas. I wish that part was easier for me!

You can try to do a tut with something more trendy like the avengers or sth like that. It'll make your videos show up on the search easier.

I've just started and felt discouraged already. But we'll get there hopefully :).

I don't mind having a small channel, I just want people to engage. I want to start a conversation with them and know actually who is watching.... that is what frustrates me... not beeing able to connect with them... But I guess.. I will someday :P
On the other hand, what I do to get more creative is just watch other people's channels, and then I get new ideas. It's not about copying their videos, but to have them as inspiration, and then just do your own thing ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1430420194,1430420050][/DOUBLEPOST]

The good thing about this place is that people always cheer you up! so don't get discouraged! :) at the end of the day there's always someone watching what you are doing :)
