How do you deal with "Sub for Sub" comments?

I recommend deleting them and ignoring them, if theyre in your inbox I would report them for spam, if they keep commenting the same I would ban them from the channel. I dont think it is a good thing to leave such comments on your videos as it encourages a spammy comment section.

In the last two weeks, I've noticed a steady increase in sub for sub comments. Sure, a lot of them end up in the spam section - neither seen nor heard. But there are those handful of commenters who slip through the cracks, and to be frank, they do irk me; I'm not sure what the common procedure of handling them are.

Im simply say "Im sorry but I dont sub to channels unless their videos interest me. Ill be happy to give you a watch, but I cant promise Ill sub."
 
You have to be direct with them. Business is business. It shoul not be built on short term "I give you this I give you that".
 
In my blacklist I put the pharse "sub for sub" and "sub 4 sub" as well as the word "sub" (I hope comments about sub sandwiches don't get deleted). This way these comments just show up in the spam section and I delete them. I'm a small channel and don't even have 100 subs but I've gotten three sub for sub comments on my videos so far, which is kind of crazy if you ask me.
 
I usually check out the channel quickly to see if it's something I would be interested, out of curiosity more than anything, but usually it's middle school age girls, and that's not what I'm interested in watching. I don't delete or spam the comment, I let them have their self-promotion moment.
 
you know what's really great? when someone with a s-ton of subs comments on your channel saying they love your stuff, then they follow it with "i make xyz videos too!" then you go and scope out their channel and you see a gazillion comments like "thanks for subbing, we subbed back!" and "so glad you commented on my channel! i love your videos!" ughhh it grinds my gears :grumpy2: take your copypasta elsewhere
 
I find that more and more users are spamming sub for sub on the small channels. My old account which only got up to 20 subs before I deleted it had five sub 4 sub comments total. I didn't do anything too drastic like ban them from ever commenting again on the channel. I just deleted them and moved on. Who knows? They might return in a few months or two and watch one of my videos without spamming sub 4 sub. Instead asking a question for me to reply to. Though that didn't happen as I of course deleted my channel before it was a few months old.
 
I have never gotten a sub for sub comment. If I had one I would probably just ignore it. I'm not against sub for sub but to be completely honest, I like for my subs to be real, even though they make for less than 2% of my views.
 
Is this still a thing in 2015 ? It reminds me a bit of youtube back in 2008-2012, but now...
Well just delete their comments or ask them for something else.
