How do you deal with "Sub for Sub" comments?

I get them on my other channel & I just leave them there like a badge of honour like 'yeah that's right, these people want to get all up in this, but I'm not about that life' sort of thing, yeah...

I don't get blatant sub 4 sub comments. If I did, and they get trough the spam filter, they get deleted. No one got time for that. I am not on YouTube to measure my personal worth. And I dislike people that are because most of them are fake.

Yeah, maybe I'm a bit too nice, but I actually do respond and just say thank you - even if they didn't watch the video, they still contributed to its engagement, so I'm not too annoyed. I definitely I won't be going on their channel and subscribing though.

That is one of the worst things you can do on youtube, to comment on some video "sub for sub" or "go check out my content", people can really be selfish, but ok, lets be honest, everyone wants subs but that is not the way to gain them! :(

Ignore. I mean, it's tough enough as is to get people to post comments and such for my videos. I don't need some random dude that will just subscribe and not comment, like or watch my videos.

We ignore them. If someone keeps asking for shout-outs we say "we don't do shout-outs because so many people ask for them, it would take over our whole show." Then we invite them to send an original drawing or artwork, which we will post during the endslate with their user name. Most people are happy with that.

I feel like Sub4Sub is a bad iidea in general. My friend who has a decently successful Youtube channel said this to me:

"If someone is in the same field as you (Gaming, Beauty Tips Etc.) then Instead of deleting their comment, ask them about doing a collab video or working together in a way to help both of your channels. I would suggest in only doing this with people who have had a consistent YouTube channel because then you don't have people just up and leaving you during the collab."

What do you guys think of his advice?
