Hey guys somebody stole one of my videos.........

Its not even a big video but why just why.......he has nothing to gain from copying it other than annoying me that he put zero effort into making this. He doesn't even have the written guide with it..........yes I am quite mad.

I just sent it to my coop partner and told him "wow guess you made the video for two friends?"

Yeah I never expected this since I'm a tiny channel and not really worth copying but then my own curiosity shows me something thats been around for months.

Better to nip it in the bud now at least, rather than wait until your channel got bigger and having him copy you then, if i were you i would look through his other vids to see if he copied anything else, also keep an eye on his channel whenever you upload for a while[DOUBLEPOST=1369700207,1369700186][/DOUBLEPOST]

I checked through his stuff this seems to be his only video taken from me which is good no idea about the rest his channel is very odd but I aint judging. My god I never thought I'd care about something like this but now that I see it I'm just shocked least he could have done is asked me........god I sound stupid.[DOUBLEPOST=1369700419][/DOUBLEPOST]

Nope you don't sound stupid, he shouldn't be downloading your videos, imagine if it were a super high production video like something from FPS russia and he downloaded it uploaded it, and he got millions of views instead

Click on the little flag button in the description of his video that says "Report". Choose "Infringes my rights" and in the drop down menus click the one for copyright. Then click submit and youtube will look in to it.
 
Main mistake you did is that your video is not branded, for all future videos render the video with your channel name on one of the corners so that if anyone does it again you can clearly say that he stole the video, as with video games it would be hard to prove otherwise without the branding

I never realized I had to become a brand to stop someone from taking my stuff.........Also noted I'll look into the idea.
